On September 21, the Zhimei super pure electric sedan Aion Ray7 unveiled its interior cockpit design for the first time and simultaneously opened blind pre-orders. While most people are still amazed by the premium feel brought by the floating soft-glow center console and zero-gravity seats, another fact deserves even more attention: this 150,000-yuan-class mid-to-large pure electric sedan may be one of the contenders with the firmest handling foundation in its price range.

The interior cockpit unveiled this time echoes the handling philosophy inside and out. The cockpit adopts a simple and lightweight design style, with the overall layout centered on the driver, reducing line-of-sight deviation and operational burden. The floating soft-glow center console adopts a minimalist style, paired with a diffuse reflection process, creating a relaxed and romantic atmosphere; the contrasting-color quilting design in the details reveals a sense of quality within the simplicity. The front-row one-touch zero-gravity seats support ventilation and heating as well as driver's massage, and with cloud-soft fabric, they provide a fully restored comfortable space after intense driving. The 5nm Qualcomm 8295 chip + 24GB memory brings millisecond-level infotainment response, so operating the system will not distract the driver. It can be said that this interior both serves driving and soothes the fatigue after driving.

Any single item of the Ray7's chassis specifications would be enough to become a selling point on higher-priced models. The super chassis is the world's first to feature a chip-level drive-brake fusion architecture. Combined with the HUAWEI DriveONE EMB full-wire brake-by-wire system, it upgrades braking response from traditional "hydraulic transmission" to "direct electrical signal delivery," resulting in shorter braking distance and even the ability to stop safely in the extreme case of four-wheel failure. For a rear-wheel-drive sedan, this redundancy at the braking level is essentially underwriting driving pleasure. The HUAWEI iTRACK intelligent torque control system, through millisecond-level torque distribution adjustment, effectively improves slipping on rain and snow roads, retaining the agility of rear-wheel drive while lowering the threshold for handling. The pure rear-wheel drive is equipped with an aluminum hybrid front double-wishbone + rear five-link suspension, FSD adaptive damping shock absorbers, and front and rear stabilizer bars. When cornering, support stiffens; when driving straight, damping softens, balancing comfort and sporty handling.

The super electric drive system provides underlying support for handling. The HUAWEI DriveONE multi-in-one electric drive, combined with Aion's all-new thermal management system and 28-in-one thermal management module, achieves an ultra-low energy consumption of 12 kilometers per kWh, with CLTC pure electric range reaching 700 km. Low energy consumption means a lighter battery pack and more reasonable front-to-rear weight distribution; a 700 km range means users do not have to repeatedly swing between "spirited driving" and "range anxiety." The battery is equipped with CATL cells and integrates Aion's magazine battery 2.0 technology, comprehensively ensuring travel safety.
Super intelligence also empowers driving. Twenty-seven automotive-grade all-view sensors, combined with WeRide's L4 Robotaxi homologous large model, easily handle various real and complex scenarios, making long-distance driving easier. The ultra-high appearance is reflected in the low-slung wide-body stance, streamlined and stretched body shape, and the "quantum star ring" family design front face, plus highly personalized and textured body colors, satisfying the aesthetic taste of young users.

It is worth mentioning that on the day blind pre-orders opened, Yang Long, vice president of GAC Aion Hyptec BU, released a video announcing that he had obtained a drift racing license, would establish RC CLUB (RAY racing club), and would personally lead the team to drive the Ray7 onto the track. It is rare in the industry for an automaker executive to be willing to use his own racing license to endorse a product's handling. From another perspective, if the chassis foundation were not solid enough, no one would dare to take their own mass-production car onto the track to drift.
In the current 150,000-yuan-class mid-to-large pure electric sedan market, most models force users to make a "choose one of three" trade-off among chassis, intelligent driving, and electric drive. Ray7 uses its four major sharp points—ultra-high appearance, super chassis, super electric drive, and super intelligence—to be "fully equipped in one step," and its hardcore specifications at the handling level are undoubtedly its most differentiated card.

A 299-yuan blind pre-order allows users to first enjoy 8,999 yuan in benefits. For young users who want both daily comfort and cannot give up driving passion, Ray7 gives an answer that requires no compromise.
