Jetta M6 officially opens pre-sales, top trim at 99,800 yuan brings urban NOA under 100,000 yuan
From September 18 to 24, Jetta held the Jetta M6 presale launch event and media test-drive week in Mugecuo, Kangding, Sichuan, under the theme "Jetta Electrified, Reaching All of China." The event site sits at an altitude of about 3,700 meters, making it one of the highest-altitude auto launch events to date. Unlike a conventional launch event, Jetta combined the presale launch and test-drive experience into the same event: closed-course subject testing was combined with real-road experience on the western Sichuan plateau, and media freely test-drove around Kangding, experiencing the Jetta M6's dynamic performance amid scenery and complex road conditions.

Presale from 80,800 yuan, Jetta M6 redefines "segment-leaping" value for money
At the launch event, Gao Jiefang, Chinese general manager of the Jetta brand, announced the Jetta M6 presale prices: the 465 Pro version at 80,800 yuan, the 555 Max version at 90,800 yuan, and the 555 Ultra version at 99,800 yuan. Presale benefits launched at the same time include: an expansion gift, where a 1,000 yuan deposit yields 2,000 yuan toward the vehicle purchase, valued at 1,000 yuan; a renewal gift, with 600 limited-edition personalized color-change films given away, valued at 4,000 yuan; a charging gift, choose one of either a charging wall box or a combined charging/discharging gun plus 800 yuan in equivalent points, valued at 2,000 yuan; a refresh gift, with trade-in subsidies starting at 4,000 yuan, also available to existing customers buying an additional vehicle; a first-access gift, with priority production scheduling and priority delivery after placing a presale order; and a stacking gift, allowing launch benefits to be enjoyed on top of one another.

The Jetta M6 is positioned as a "super-comfortable AI pure electric family sedan," aimed at pragmatic and rational young families who care about long-term ownership costs, pursue reliability and safety, and value intelligent experience. Its core idea can be summarized as: delivering B-segment space and C-segment experience at an A-segment price. The body has a wheelbase of 2,820 mm, a space utilization rate of 91.3%, front-row headroom of 1,014 mm, rear-row width of 1,501 mm, and is equipped with 24 family storage spaces and a 542 L trunk. Higher-trim models feature advanced intelligent driving functions, bringing urban NOA and intelligent parking into the 100,000-yuan range.
The Jetta M6's basic attributes: reliability and usability
Dirk Mayer, German general manager of the Jetta brand, opened in Chinese. He mentioned that Jetta already has more than 5.3 million users, and that one veteran driver drove a Jetta 600,000 kilometers without a major overhaul. Asked whether "Jetta building an EV is still reliable," his answer was: "Still reliable." "When it comes to building cars, you can't rush." The M6 underwent three years of refinement, adopts 86% high-strength steel for safety, with maximum strength of 2,000 MPa, body torsional rigidity of 38,073 N·m, roof crush resistance of 70.5 kN, a thickened rear anti-collision beam, and features such as dual pre-tensioning seat belts. Mayer said on site that he was handing the Jetta M6 to the media, hoping they would help convey the M6's true performance.

Wang Xin, marketing director of the Jetta brand, focused on "usability." He said the M6 is willing to spend generously on "invisible places" such as body materials and battery safety, but holding the bottom line is only the starting point. Real family car owners also care about whether the infotainment system is easy to use and whether intelligent driver assistance can share the burden. The Jetta M6 comes standard across the lineup with a 15.6-inch 2.5K ultra-high-definition large screen, and the Yuexing smart cockpit 2.0 integrates three major AI models: Doubao, Tongyi Qianwen, and DeepSeek, supporting more than 650 types of voice commands, AI trip planning, AI cockpit master, voice cloning, and other functions. Wang Xin said: "Let technology accommodate habits, and let use have no cost." In terms of active safety, the M6 is equipped with 14 active safety functions, AEB works from 0-130 km/h, and the moose test result is 80.6 km/h.

Chen Li, delivery director of Kurui Cheng, introduced the Jetta M6's intelligent driver assistance capabilities. The M6 is equipped with the Kurui Cheng intelligent driver assistance solution, covering scenarios such as urban NOA, highway NOA, parking, and active safety. The hardware uses Horizon Journey 6M chips, 11 cameras, 1 millimeter-wave radar, and 12 ultrasonic radars. Relying on the GAIA2.0 world model, it conducts more than one million kilometers of effective validation daily, possesses 30 million clips of golden training data, and incorporates the driving experience of more than 100 state-guest-level drivers. Chen Li summarized the system as "drives steadily, parks smoothly, and holds its ground," and said: "National intelligent driving should be exactly like this."

Long-time owner takes the stage: Jetta does not build rushed cars
A special segment of the launch event was a sharing session by Jetta long-time owner Ye Yifan. His first car was a Jetta; he drove it to pick up his wife at their wedding, and it was also the first car his daughter rode in after birth. He even drove it to Tibet and Xinjiang. He had once worried that Jetta would lose its character when making new energy vehicles, but after listening to the introduction he felt reassured: "Jetta does not build rushed cars, and this really has not changed." In his view, the modified Jetta King of the past was one person's romance, while the M6 is more like a family's peace of mind and convenience. Gao Jiefang picked up the thread and said that from fuel vehicles to new energy, Jetta's foundation of safety and quality will never change. "On safety, we do not play empty tricks." "Good intelligent technology should be within reach of every family."

Scenery is the backdrop, road conditions are the exam
After the launch event, media carried out free test drives around Kangding. The event set up closed-course subject testing and real-road experience on the western Sichuan plateau, with routes covering complex road conditions such as mountain roads, national highways, and rural paths. The plateau environment is a test for vehicle power, energy consumption, thermal management, and intelligent driving systems. The Jetta M6 comes standard across the lineup with a high-efficiency wide-temperature-range heat pump system, supporting operating environments from -40°C to 50°C; energy consumption is as low as 10.5 kWh per 100 kilometers, with electricity cost about 5 cents per kilometer; under conventional settings of 24°C air conditioning, comfort mode, and medium energy recovery, the range achievement rate is close to 90%. CLTC range is offered in 555 km and 465 km versions.

Amid the autumn scenery and complex road conditions of Mugecuo in Kangding, the Jetta M6 underwent comprehensive media experience from driving and riding to intelligent assistance. This high-altitude presale launch event and test-drive week also became an on-the-ground test of Jetta's new energy transformation. With the announcement of prices and benefits, the Jetta M6 has officially entered the 100,000-yuan pure electric family sedan market.
