Currently, the Geely Galaxy E8 will officially go on sale today. Previously, the new car opened pre-sales on December 16, with a total of 5 models launched, starting at a pre-sale price of 188,000 yuan. The new car is built on the SEA Haohan architecture and is positioned as a mid-to-large pure electric sedan, with a maximum range of up to 665 kilometers.
In terms of appearance, the new car adopts the all-new "Ripple Aesthetics" design language, features split headlights, and offers two front fascia designs to choose from. The new car's integrated illuminated front fascia is the world's first mass-produced design of its kind, with 22 columns and a total of 158 lighting windows built in, and a lighting area of 0.105 m². It can present different light language effects such as welcome and farewell, left-right flowing water, jumping flowing water, and music shows.
From the side of the body, the new car adopts a fastback coupe-style body design, combined with hidden door handles and low-drag wheels, resulting in a drag coefficient of only 0.199Cd. In terms of body dimensions, the new car measures 5010/1920/1465mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2925mm.
At the rear, the new car adopts a similar through-type taillight cluster design, with the middle part of the taillights separated by the brand's LOGO. The interior of the taillight housing is equipped with 390 LED lamp beads, making it highly recognizable when lit. In addition, the rear bumper of the new car adopts a layered structure in a different color from the body, making it look more dynamic.
In terms of interior, the new car is equipped with a 45-inch 8K through-type infotainment screen. This screen also achieves an extremely narrow black border of 7.5mm and an ultra-thin thickness of 9.8mm, with a screen-to-body ratio of 98%. Inside, it is powered by the new-generation Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 flagship cockpit chip. The chip adopts a 5nm process and has an AI computing power of 30TOPS, supporting full-scenario AI intelligent voice interaction.
In terms of power, the new car will offer a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version and a dual-motor four-wheel-drive version. Among them, the rear-wheel-drive version is built on a 400V platform, with a motor power of 200kW. The four-wheel-drive performance version uses an 800V silicon carbide platform, with a total dual-motor power of 475kW, and acceleration from 0-100km/h takes only about 3.5s. In terms of battery and range, the Galaxy E8 will be divided into 62kWh and 76kWh, corresponding to ranges of 550km and 665km respectively.
