When competitors are still showing off "puncture-resistant, no fire," Geely's batteries can already withstand bullet shots; when the industry is hotly discussing "urban NOA," the Galaxy Battleship has already achieved full-terrain AI automatic switching—this launch event proves: true technological discourse power always comes from challenging the limits of safety!

In addition, dozens of the latest and most powerful automotive technologies, including the GEA Evo new energy architecture, Thor EM super hybrid, AI digital chassis, Thunder electric drive family, Shendun Golden Brick battery, recycled materials, as well as the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit and self-developed chips, also appeared simultaneously at the Geely booth, demonstrating Geely's technological foundation for promoting "safety equality" in new energy vehicles with the achievements of its "full-domain AI" technology system.

The Shendun Battery Safety System's testing standards far exceed the "new national standard," and Geely's safety patented technologies are open and shared with the entire industry.

Geely has been making cars for nearly 30 years and has always adhered to the "safety first" development strategy. It has built an industry-leading safety development system and continuously applies safety achievements such as the Shendun Battery Safety System to its models.

The Shendun Battery Safety System is a "no-blind-zone" safety protection system based on the battery and integrating architecture, complete vehicle, intelligent control, and cloud. In Geely's testing requirements for the Shendun Battery Safety System, the battery must undergo 36 safety tests under full-scenario extreme conditions, of which 23 test standards exceed the "new national standard." For 12 tests, including cell puncture, seawater immersion, battery pack bottom ball impact, drop, bottom scraping test, and trampling test, although they are not included in the new national standard, Geely has strict corporate standards.

The Shendun Battery Safety System is the first in the industry to achieve no damage under 30 km/h bottom impact and 20 km/h full-vehicle negative curb impact, solving the battery damage and safety accidents caused by bottom collisions, which electric vehicles fear most. As early as 2021, Geely joined hands with national authoritative institutions to lead the formulation of China's first group standard for bottom protection of new energy vehicles. The "Safety Requirements for Power Batteries for Electric Vehicles," which will take effect on July 1, 2026, also adds testing standards such as battery bottom impact. As of March this year, Geely has led or participated in 115 standards in the safety field.

Based on the complete vehicle safety brought by the Shendun Battery Safety System, the Geely Galaxy E5 received the highest dual "five-star safety" ratings from Europe's Euro NCAP and Australia's ANCAP. Among similar tests, its comprehensive score ranks first among Chinese brands, achieving "five stars globally, safe globally." On April 16, the Geely Galaxy E5 also conducted an "extra" over-standard test at Euro NCAP's laboratory in Austria, becoming the first 150,000-yuan-class pure electric vehicle after Volvo and Zeekr to complete a 50 km/h center pillar collision challenge.

Geely also continuously innovates based on "safety." In the ranking of public automotive safety patents among independent complete vehicle groups recently announced by CATARC, Geely ranked first among Chinese automakers with 1,562 public safety patents.

In Geely's view, safety patents are not a "tool for showing off," but should become standards shared by the entire industry. In response to the bottom collision test added to the new battery national standard, as a major participant in the national standard for this test, Geely will also open to the entire industry a battery bottom safety patent portfolio including battery pack bottom guard plate patents, battery pack anti-collision beam patents, and bottom collision test device patents, providing consumers and the industry with systematic solutions from complete vehicle battery safety design to technical verification.

Geely's Global Full-Domain Safety Test Center, which will be officially completed and put into use this year, will also be open to the entire industry. The Geely Global Safety Test Center, with an investment of 2 billion yuan, has the world's first indoor all-weather meteorological environment simulation test area and is China's first test center capable of 0–90 degree stepless collision angle adjustment. In addition, the Geely Global Full-Domain Safety Test Center also has more than 10 test functions that are the first of their kind globally and domestically.

Gan Jiayue of Geely Automobile Group also announced at the auto show site: Geely Holding Group will integrate its battery business and establish a new battery industry group—Jiyao Tongxing, and will unify the original Golden Brick Battery and Shendun Short Blade Battery under the Shendun Golden Brick Battery brand. "Shendun" represents Geely's ultimate battery safety system, and "Golden Brick" represents Geely's industry-leading cell technology.

Shendun Golden Brick will fully integrate Geely Holding Group's global safety technology, so that every departure of users ends safely at home. Jiyao Tongxing will continue to forge new benchmarks for power battery safety, focus on the short blade battery technology route that far exceeds industry safety standards, and successively launch industry-leading cell products in fields such as super fast charging, high energy density, and super hybrid, comprehensively empowering models of all brands under Geely Holding.

"Full-domain AI" technology creates a hardcore "safe travel intelligent agent," Galaxy Battleship makes its global debut.

At the launch event, the Galaxy Battleship, the culmination of Geely's intelligent safety technology, made its global debut. In design, the Galaxy Battleship not only shows the Eastern aesthetic of "combining hardness and softness," but also interprets the strong temperament of "self-improvement" unique to Chinese people. Designs such as the front headlights shaped like an "armillary sphere," the tail lights outlining a "celestial palace star track," and the off-road control island inspired by a "yacht control lever" all demonstrate the tough expression of Geely Galaxy's "ripple aesthetics" in the era of intelligent electrification.

As a technology-hardcore SUV prototype vehicle empowered by Geely's "full-domain AI" technology, the Galaxy Battleship is the world's first AI intelligent agent capable of active switching across "all scenarios, all terrains, and all energy forms." It can not only actively switch among multiple energy forms such as pure electric, hybrid, and extended range, but also achieve AI active switching across all scenarios including city, camping, and off-road, as well as AI active adaptation across all terrains including plains, mountains, and water-crossing roads. Through the AI intelligent four-wheel-drive function, the Galaxy Battleship can also automatically switch to front-wheel drive, rear-wheel drive, or four-wheel drive mode after intelligently identifying terrain.

In addition, the Galaxy Battleship carries Geely's ultimate exploration of five major safety technologies: "no loss of control, no spontaneous combustion, no loss of connection, no sinking, and no collision." The "full-blooded version" AI digital chassis gives the Galaxy Battleship skills such as crab walking,原地 turning, and driving after a tire blowout, and can even achieve "unmanned drifting." Geely's self-developed GVMC body stability system enables the Galaxy Battleship to achieve an 80 km/h moose test speed, ranking first globally among hardcore SUVs. The "Shendun Golden Brick Battery" carried by the Galaxy Battleship is paired with a bulletproof coating with 10 times the wear resistance and impact resistance, just like putting body armor on the battery, protecting the battery cells from deformation, fire, and explosion. Geely's exclusive satellite constellation allows the Galaxy Battleship to achieve two-way satellite communication even in uninhabited areas. The Galaxy Battleship is equipped with wading radar and the industry's exclusive vehicle-mounted sonar, with an ultra-high wading capability of 800 mm, capable of continuously floating for 2 hours, with a sailing speed exceeding 8.5 km/h (4.6 knots).

The Galaxy Battleship is also equipped with G-AES general obstacle continuous automatic avoidance technology. Combined with satellite remote sensing and drone route exploration, even when driving on unpaved off-road roads, it is not afraid of natural dangers such as boulders and collapses, and can achieve continuous active avoidance and braking. In addition, the Galaxy Battleship supports full-speed-range AEB, capable of stopping at up to 130 km/h, and at night can also actively stop at 100 km/h in the face of irregular obstacles such as falling rocks.
