On March 27, the U7, a super four-motor flagship sedan from Yangwang, launched in both BEV and PHEV versions. The five-seat version starts at 628,000 yuan, while the four-seat version starts at 708,000 yuan. With the support of Yangwang's signature technology, e4, the U7 boasts over 1,300 horsepower and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 2.9 seconds, along with innovative capabilities such as all-terrain tank turns, stable driving after a high-speed tire blowout, and parallel lateral parking. On this basis, the U7 is equipped with the world's first intelligent suspended body control system, DiSus-Z, marking the first application of electromagnetic principles previously used in aircraft carrier electromagnetic catapult systems and maglev trains to the automotive field, providing users with an unprecedented smooth driving and riding experience. This also marks the first time in the global new energy vehicle industry that a suspension system has been fully electrified in mass production on the basis of the battery, motor, and electronic control, declaring that new energy vehicles have officially entered the "four-electric era."

Several parameters rank first in the industry, and the disruptive electric suspension enters a new realm of stability

Looking at current automotive products, even the most advanced fully active suspensions generally use oil as the medium for adjustment, and are subject to objective physical limitations such as long energy transfer paths and restricted response control speed and precision. To take a further step in ride comfort and stability, automotive suspension technology must break through the upper limit of oil control. To this end, BYD Group invested tens of thousands of people to step into uncharted technological territory, and over seven years completely overturned the industry's traditional approach to body control technology, creating the world's first intelligent suspended body control system, DiSus-Z, which made its debut on the super four-motor flagship sedan, the Yangwang U7.

The U7's DiSus-Z electric suspension features the world's first direct-drive suspension motor technology, which can directly convert electrical energy into powerful kinetic energy output without going through an oil medium, achieving intelligent electric direct drive for vertical body control and completing a revolutionary innovation from "oil" to "electricity." Based on this, DiSus-Z has achieved multiple industry-best parameter records: the peak power of the suspension system can reach 50 kW, the current highest level in the field of vertical control; in terms of detection, DiSus-Z's magic ruler sensor has the industry's fastest detection response speed of 50 microseconds, capable of capturing body posture 4,000 times in the blink of an eye, 20 times faster than the industry mainstream level; detection accuracy is as high as 10 microns, so even tiny displacement information one-tenth the thickness of a sheet of paper can be instantly captured by DiSus-Z. At the control execution level, DiSus-Z also possesses the world's fastest active force adjustment speed, completing full-link execution within 5 milliseconds, dozens of times that of traditional active suspensions, and its body height adjustment accuracy is also the world's highest, at only 1 millimeter. DiSus-Z's extreme detection and execution speed and precision allow the U7 to handle random potholed roads and bumpy surfaces with ease, achieving "adjustment without preview" and bringing a new driving and riding realm of "no more bumps from now on."

Extreme technology in one body, safety and experience rise to the next level

In addition to the disruptive DiSus-Z electric suspension, the Yangwang U7 also combines multiple extreme technologies from BYD to set a new benchmark for flagship sedan safety, comfort, and luxury. With Yangwang's standard e4 four-wheel independent torque vectoring control technology across the lineup, the U7 can independently control all four wheels at the millisecond level. On the basis of functions such as tank turns and fixed-wheel rotation, it pioneered the world's first "parallel lateral movement" function, making a vehicle "driving sideways" no longer just imagination. Not only that, the U7 is also equipped with bidirectional 20° intelligent rear-wheel steering. Combined with e4 agile steering, this allows the D-segment-sized U7 to display flexibility comparable to an A0-segment small car. In terms of intelligent driving, the U7 is equipped with the God's Eye A three-lidar solution, with 32 intelligent driving sensors throughout the vehicle, and also adopts dual Orin X chips, with computing power as high as 508 TOPS, enabling L2+ advanced intelligent driving assistance capabilities. The urban navigation function is activated upon delivery, can be used nationwide, and gets better the more it is used.

Thanks to BYD Group's 30 years of vertical integration capabilities, the Yangwang U7 breaks down barriers between hardware, allowing e4, DiSus-Z, and bidirectional 20° intelligent rear-wheel steering to be fully connected and integrated, achieving fully digital coordinated control of body posture across longitudinal, lateral, and vertical directions with six degrees of freedom, greatly shortening system delay, and providing users with unprecedented safety performance. In a previous high-speed dual-wheel tire blowout test, at a speed of over 160 km/h, whether the two wheels on the same side or diagonally opposite wheels lost pressure, the U7's driving posture and direction were not significantly affected at the moment of tire pressure loss. In a 100 km/h lateral rear-end collision test, the U7 also quickly returned to its original driving trajectory within a short time, achieving stable driving without deviation, pushing the height of automotive safety performance up another level. In addition, the U7's maximum moose test speed can reach 95.78 km/h, and its maximum unmanned moose test speed even reaches 95.11 km/h, topping the industry's highest level.

The BEV and PHEV versions of the Yangwang U7 have vehicle lengths of 5,265 mm and 5,360 mm respectively, and wheelbases of 3,160 mm and 3,200 mm. The BEV version is equipped with a 135.5 kWh Yangwang-exclusive high-performance blade battery, providing a CLTC pure electric range of 720 km; the PHEV version has a battery capacity of 52.4 kWh and a combined range of 1,000 km. It is worth mentioning that the PHEV version of the U7 is equipped with China's first mass-produced horizontally opposed engine, innovatively compressing the engine height to 420 mm, far lower than the height of inline engines at over 700 mm. In addition, the structure of the horizontally opposed engine can cancel vibration and offers the advantages of quietness and smoothness. It not only breakthroughly maximizes the use of the front cabin space of a new energy vehicle, but also controls the noise gap between hybrid and pure electric driving conditions to within 1 decibel, providing users with extreme quietness "as quiet as electric."

Eastern aesthetics meet technology, cultivating both inside and outside to compose a new chapter of aesthetics

The Yangwang U7 is available in four colors: Moonlight Silver, Obsidian Black, Fluorite White, and Argyll Purple. Its exterior design begins with the "Door of Time and Space" family visual identity and draws inspiration from the Sanxingdui bronze mask, a cultural crystallization of Chinese civilization, creating a highly recognizable front face and presenting the aesthetics of new energy sedans in the new era; interstellar pixel headlights and frameless door design, paired with an electric rear spoiler, give the U7 both technological attributes and a luxurious texture. The side flying-apsara waistline is inspired by Dunhuang mural art. It not only makes the whole vehicle look light and agile, but also optimizes aerodynamics, bringing the U7's drag coefficient down to as low as 0.195, fully displaying the agility and beauty of a flagship sedan.
