At the Shanghai Auto Show that just concluded, the collector's-grade sports car BMW Skytop won tremendous popularity and overwhelming praise with its innovative aesthetic design. Priced at as high as 500,000 euros, all 50 units of the BMW Skytop sold out immediately upon launch. Just one month later, BMW has launched another collector's-grade dream car. Recently, the BMW Speedtop Concept made its world premiere at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este in Italy and was announced as a global limited release of 70 units, paying tribute to car enthusiasts and collectors. This is both a response to customer demand and a demonstration of the brand's deep design heritage, forward-looking insight, and strong market appeal.

The legend of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este began in 1929 and has always centered on design, classic heritage, and the spirit of tradition. Legendary classic cars from around the world have gathered here, and collectors and car enthusiasts alike come together here on one weekend each summer to witness this globally renowned automotive event. Since 1999, the BMW Group has sponsored the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este for 26 consecutive years, playing a key role in the revival and development of this historic concours.

The BMW Speedtop Concept skillfully blends the elegant temperament of a shooting brake with unique body proportions, creating the first three-door large sport touring vehicle with innovative aesthetics. Mr. Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design, said: "A true BMW, even when standing still, still exudes dynamism and elegance. The BMW Speedtop Concept is no exception. Its distinctive silhouette is highly recognizable, setting it apart in the automotive industry. As a result, our product lineup, especially the touring series, has gained yet another stunning creation."

The BMW Speedtop is not only a luxury touring car, but also a handcrafted mobile work of art. Through the integrated innovation of color, materials, and craftsmanship, and the reshaping of aesthetic and emotional experience, BMW turns the automobile into an intersection of industrial design and humanistic thought. This is an inside-out innovation that organically fuses technology and art, creating an automotive form that is both futuristic and culturally profound.

"We pay tribute to the classics while facing the future. The mission of design is to give the brand sustainable and unique recognizability," said Mr. Adrian van Hooydonk, Senior Vice President of BMW Group Design. With its innovative aesthetic design, the BMW Speedtop inherits classic heritage while innovatively integrating modern charm. It is elegant, dynamic, and dazzling, offering a refreshing experience.

The front face of the BMW Speedtop Concept features a cool and sharp arrow-shaped design paired with the iconic shark-nose styling, presenting a recreation of and tribute to classic BMW models. While inheriting classic elements, it also connects to the future. The illuminated double kidney grille combined with slim LED headlights fully interprets the future design philosophy. The lines extending from the engine hood to the roof, and then to the rear spoiler, are full of impact, concisely and precisely outlining a dynamic touring car silhouette.

The color gradient of the roof from "Floating Sunstone Maroon" to "Floating Sundown Silver" further strengthens the visual tension of the design. The wide body enhances the sporty style, while the two-tone 14-spoke wheels designed specifically for the concept car highlight its elegance.

BMW believes that a car should not be a cold machine, but rather a "second living space" filled with emotion and warmth. The BMW Speedtop is a "dream car" tailored to customer needs. All components, such as headlights, crystal, and leather materials, are handcrafted by an expert team through personalized customization, ultimately achieving an elegance that transcends time.

The leather interior's ingenious color combinations and carefully selected materials echo the exterior style, demonstrating extraordinary design ingenuity and aesthetic pursuit. The shimmering red-brown tones of the Floating Sunstone Maroon paint extend into the cabin, transforming into Sundown Chestnut, harmoniously blending with the Moonstone White of the seats. The two-tone leather interior skillfully divides the cockpit into the dynamic driving zone and the functional zone. The smooth and striking roofline is presented in the form of a light band in the two-tone leather roof lining, creating an atmospheric lighting effect. It is worth mentioning that BMW has partnered with the Italian ultra-luxury leather brand Schedoni to create a bespoke luggage set for the BMW Speedtop that perfectly matches the vehicle's color and material style. Schedoni is renowned for handcrafting high-end leather goods, especially with outstanding achievements in the automotive field, representing top-tier quality and customized service.

The BMW Speedtop inspires people's original imagination of a "dream ride": driving it is not just driving, but participating in a journey that spans classics and the future. The BMW Group creates special edition models for loyal customers, which is both a confident expression under the interweaving of tradition and innovation and will further strengthen the emotional resonance between the BMW brand and its customers. It is a vivid embodiment of BMW's "customer-centric" approach.

With "innovative aesthetics" that combine technological strength and artistic soul, the BMW Group continuously explores the future of the automobile. This is not only an inheritance of the brand's century-old heritage, but also a bold prophecy for the mobility of the next era.
