The Arcfox Beta T1 has officially been refreshed and launched. The new car comes in three configurations, with a limited-time promotional price starting at 62,800 yuan. To be honest, at this price point, there are very few models that can achieve a wheelbase of 2,770 mm, standard front and rear continuous LED headlights across the lineup, and even L2-level driver assistance.

Space is this car's biggest "flex"

Let's start with the hardest-core numbers. Wheelbase: 2,770 mm. What does that mean? The BYD Seagull has a wheelbase of 2,500 mm, the Wuling Bingo has a wheelbase of 2,560 mm, and even the larger BYD Dolphin is only 2,700 mm. The Arcfox Beta T1's wheelbase not only crushes A0-segment models of the same class, but even touches the threshold of B-segment cars.

The body length has increased from the previous model's 4,337 mm to 4,375 mm, with a width of 1,860 mm and a height of 1,572 mm. There was a very interesting segment at the launch event: 11 youth academy soccer players entered the car one after another and all sat down inside. On other A0-segment cars, this challenge would most likely be impossible to complete. Arcfox dares to play this way because its confidence comes from real, concrete space utilization.

The trunk is also impressive. Its regular volume is 459 L, enough for 8 20-inch suitcases. Even more clever is the 74 L sunken hidden storage space, which supports dry-wet separation. On a weekend camping trip with kids, ingredients and gear can be stored in separate layers, so you do not have to worry about odors mixing or items getting crushed. With the rear seats folded down, the volume expands to 1,352 L, with a depth approaching 2 meters. The whole car has nearly 30 storage spaces, so items big and small all have a place. This approach to space design is clearly aimed at the real usage scenarios of family users.

Feature rollout is the real "more equipment without a price increase"

Many automakers have shouted the phrase "more equipment without a price increase," but when it comes to execution, they often cut corners in places you cannot see. Arcfox's approach with the Beta T1 this time is still fairly sincere.

The 450 km range version comes standard across the lineup with an L2-level combined driver assistance system, covering functions such as Traffic Jam Assist (TJA) and Forward Collision Warning (FCW). It is rare to see models at the same price that offer the full L2 package. On top of that, it debuts the industry-first "Suixinzhuan" black technology, with a turning radius of only 5.2 meters. U-turns on narrow roads in old residential compounds and parking in mechanical spaces will be much less difficult. For family users, especially new drivers, "easy to drive and easy to park" is worth more than flashy features. In addition, it also comes standard with an exterior camera, sentry mode, and an electric tailgate. The electric tailgate supports custom opening angles, so even shorter female drivers can operate it elegantly. A few years ago, these features were only available on cars in the 200,000 yuan class.

Inside, there is a 15.6-inch central control screen paired with an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster, the largest in its class. The disconnected secondary instrument panel has been changed to a connected design, and together with a lengthened and widened center armrest, the overall sense of continuity has indeed moved up a notch.

Range upgraded, the cost of use is truly cheaper than the subway

The upgrade to the three-electric system is also very solid. CLTC range has increased from the previous model's 320 km/425 km to 350 km and 450 km. A 550 km version will also be launched in the future. It is equipped with an eight-in-one electric drive from the same lineage as high-speed rail, reducing weight by 15%, volume by 18%, and increasing power density by 10%. Combined with a heat pump air conditioner and battery direct cooling and direct heating technology rarely seen in its class, energy consumption is as low as 11.2 kWh per 100 km. Converted to household electricity rates, that is only 5 or 6 cents per kilometer, with a monthly commuting cost of just a few dozen yuan, even less than taking the subway. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes only 21.9 minutes, so you can set off with a full charge in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee.

Safety is also worth mentioning. It is equipped with the Aurora battery, using aerospace-grade thermal insulation materials and a 10-layer protection matrix to achieve no thermal propagation in battery cells. Key areas such as the A- and B-pillars are 100% made of 1,500 MPa hot-formed steel, and the roof can withstand more than 4.5 tons of pressure. The cabin uses low-temperature injection molding processes and adsorptive degradable materials to reduce harmful volatile substances, making it friendly to mothers and infants.

Final thoughts

The 60,000-yuan-class pure electric compact car market has never lacked competitors, but the logic behind most products is "good enough is enough." This time, the Arcfox Beta T1 stuffs class-above features such as a 2,770 mm wheelbase, L2-level driver assistance, and front and rear continuous LED headlights into an A0-segment car, essentially redefining the value standard for this price point.

Of course, in terms of brand recognition, Arcfox is indeed not as deeply rooted in people's minds as BYD and Wuling. But the product strength speaks for itself: space beats B-segment cars, features are fully provided, and the cost of use is low enough. For young families with limited budgets who do not want to compromise on space and features, this car is worth putting on the comparison list and taking a look at.

The 550 km version is expected to be released in August, by which time range anxiety can basically be completely eliminated.
