China's first LEGOLAND — Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort — grandly opened on July 5. On July 6, BYD, the world champion of new energy vehicles, officially announced a strategic partnership with Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort. This is also the first Chinese automobile brand that LEGOLAND has partnered with globally. The two parties will carry out strategic cooperation around green travel and immersive driving experiences, embarking on a journey of infinite imagination and inspiring children's interest in automobiles.
This cooperation includes BYD's title sponsorship of the driving school project in the LEGO® City themed area. As one of the landmark projects of Shanghai LEGOLAND, the driving school provides children with an interesting environment for their first driving experience. Young drivers can not only enjoy the thrill of driving and enhance their awareness of safe driving, but also stimulate their interest in automobiles and desire to explore, earning their "first driver's license in life."
At the strategic cooperation announcement ceremony held at the driving school, Cao Xi, Assistant General Manager of BYD Group's Brand and Public Relations Department, Tang Yu, Senior Public Relations Director, Fang Ning, Brand Marketing Director, Siegfried Boerst, Managing Director of LEGOLAND China Resort, Chen Jie, General Manager of Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort, Niels Henrik, Senior Sales and Marketing Director of LEGOLAND Global Development, and Dawn Stailey, Deputy Marketing Director of LEGOLAND Global Development, attended and jointly unveiled the customized driving school vehicles bearing the "BYD" logo. At the ceremony, an exquisite key gift box symbolizing the start of the cooperation was also delivered. In the future, BYD's new energy vehicle fleet, including Denza D9, Denza N9, and Fangchengbao Tai 3, will also provide green and efficient travel service support for the park around the clock.
Chen Jie, General Manager of Shanghai LEGOLAND Resort, said: "We are very pleased to welcome a partner like BYD, which has a strong innovation gene. The driving school project of Shanghai LEGOLAND is the first deep co-creation with a Chinese automaker, carrying the important mission of cultivating children's traffic safety awareness and spirit of exploration. We look forward together to inspiring children's interest in technology, engineering, and the future of mobility."
Cao Xi, Assistant General Manager of BYD Group's Brand and Public Relations Department, said: "This time, by joining hands with the world's top brand LEGOLAND, through innovative park projects such as the driving school, we hope to let young drivers experience the concept of green travel, the awareness of safe driving, and the technology of intelligent automobile manufacturing while enjoying the joy of driving."
This strategic cooperation is a solid step forward for BYD in popularizing the culture of new energy vehicles. Both parties will fully leverage their professional advantages, deeply integrate technology and entertainment elements, and create a benchmark for immersive parent-child theme park experiences.
Through the classic project of the driving school, starting from children's first driving experience, they will be inspired to take an interest in technological innovation, allowing every child's imagination and creativity to be fully unleashed here and creating unforgettable beautiful memories.
In the future, BYD will continue to join hands with more high-quality partners, including Shanghai LEGOLAND, to continuously expand the boundaries of green travel and create more diverse experiences for parent-child families.
