On March 2, 2025, BYD joined hands with DJI to hold a launch event in Shenzhen for its intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system, officially naming the system "Lingyuan."
"Lingyuan" achieves full vehicle integration between the car and the drone, and will cover all brands under BYD, bringing the technology to a wider audience. The battery-swap version of "Lingyuan" will mainly be equipped on the Yangwang brand, while the fast-charging version of "Lingyuan" will mainly be equipped on BYD Dynasty, Ocean, Denza, and Fangchengbao models. The full fast-charging version of the Lingyuan intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system is priced at 16,000 yuan. At the launch event, the Fangchengbao Bao 8 Drone Edition, the first model equipped with the fast-charging version of "Lingyuan," was officially launched. It was announced on site that the entire Bao 8 lineup can be optionally equipped with the intelligent vehicle-mounted drone system, priced from 395,800 to 423,800 yuan.
