On March 19, Geely Holding Group, together with the Li Shufu Public Welfare Foundation and the green shared mobility platform Cao Cao Mobility, launched a spring "Magical Journey" accessible travel experience for children with thalassemia in the Baise region of Guangxi. Li Yucheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Baise Municipal Party Committee and vice mayor of the Baise Municipal People's Government; Xie Jisheng, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and vice president of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities; Yang Xueliang, senior vice president of Geely Holding Group and director of the Li Shufu Public Welfare Foundation; and Gong Xin, CEO of Cao Cao Mobility, attended the launch ceremony and delivered speeches, jointly witnessing the launch of the Guangxi stop of the "Magical Journey" public welfare initiative.

Li Yucheng said that Baise is an area with a high incidence of thalassemia, and thalassemia prevention and treatment has been incorporated into the "Healthy Baise 2030" plan, building a full-chain service system covering prevention, screening, and treatment. Geely Holding Group's public welfare initiative themed around accessible travel sets an example for enterprises fulfilling social responsibility. We hope this journey will allow the children to root a sense of love for their home and country while taking in the magnificent mountains and rivers of their hometown, inspire ideals of striving through the experience of technological innovation, transform social care into motivation for growth, and become pillars of the nation in building their home and country at an early date.

With love, there are no barriers. The "Magical Journey" will be rolled out across the country.

For a long time, Geely Holding Group has consistently practiced the public welfare proposition of "letting the world feel love," and is committed to building a bridge through technology, humanities, and social care for vulnerable groups and people with mobility impairments, so that love can travel without barriers. The "Magical Journey" is an important embodiment of Geely's social public welfare proposition.

The "Magical Journey" originated in Europe and, as a public welfare initiative, has been held for more than 30 years. Every year, LEVC professional accessible vehicles carry children with special illnesses from London to Disneyland Paris, helping more than 6,000 children embark on unforgettable journeys. As a supporter and participant of the initiative, Geely began donating to it in 2016 and introduced it into China. This time, the "Magical Journey" came to Baise and invited local children with thalassemia to ride together in accessible specially designated vehicles and enjoy the beautiful springtime. Every stop of the "Magical Journey" is not merely a trip, but also a form of companionship for the soul, carrying countless warmth and hope and opening a window to a new world for the children.

Cao Cao Mobility's "Magical Journey" public welfare initiative will be rolled out across the country. As China's first new energy vehicle shared mobility service platform under Geely Holding, Cao Cao Mobility actively practices the public welfare proposition of "letting the world feel love." Last October, Cao Cao Mobility released China's accessible travel online-offline integration action, and accessible specially designated vehicles are moving toward nationwide coverage, promoting the construction of modern urban civilization. At present, Cao Cao Mobility's ride-hailing business covers more than 100 cities nationwide, has put more than 1,000 accessible specially designated vehicles into operation in more than 20 of them, and has served citizens with more than 5 million trips. Cao Cao Mobility designates June 29 each year as "Accessible Public Welfare Day," hoping that through sustained public welfare actions, tangible barriers can be broken down, intangible love can be conveyed, and every trip can become a warm arrival.

Let the world be full of love. The public welfare effort for children with thalassemia calls for more social attention.

After the launch ceremony, Yang Xueliang, Gong Xin, Li Yucheng, and Xie Jisheng visited the Affiliated Hospital of Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities to see children with thalassemia recovering in the hospital, bringing them care and blessings.

The connection between Geely and children with thalassemia in Baise goes back a long way. In 2021, Geely Holding Group, together with the Li Shufu Public Welfare Foundation, invested an initial 10 million yuan to launch a public welfare project caring for children with thalassemia in Baise. This project aims to help local authorities investigate and verify registered children with thalassemia and provide them with hematopoietic stem cell transplant surgery. So far, it has helped 75 children with thalassemia successfully complete hematopoietic stem cell transplant surgery and return to healthy lives. With the guidance and support of government departments at all levels in the local area, Geely Holding Group has also joined forces with multiple parties to actively promote the upgrading of medical facilities in the Baise region and help establish a "transplant zone" at the doorstep, better helping the group of children with thalassemia receive nearby and timely treatment, and reducing the economic and social burden on their families.

Respecting the elderly, caring for the young, and assisting the weak and disabled is the common responsibility of the whole society. This Cao Cao Mobility "Magical Journey" activity, through public welfare actions centered on the group of children with thalassemia, helps spark greater social attention to children with special diseases and other vulnerable children, while also promoting the development of an accessible travel environment. Geely Holding will actively practice corporate social responsibility, adhere to "long-termism" and public welfare exploration, and continue to contribute to building a more inclusive, more convenient, and warmer social civilization.
