On October 10, Seres Group and CATL signed a long-term strategic cooperation deepening agreement in Chongqing. Xu Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee, vice mayor of the municipal government, and secretary of the Party Working Committee of Liangjiang New Area, Zheng Xiangdong, vice mayor of the municipal government, and relevant leaders, Zhang Xinghai, chairman (founder) of Seres Group, and Zeng Yuqun, chairman of CATL, attended together.
According to the agreement, the two parties will deepen strategic cooperation around areas such as battery safety, industrial chain collaboration, and global ecosystem cooperation, further strengthening a long-term mutually trusting strategic partnership. Since the founding of the AITO brand, all models have been equipped with CATL batteries, and as of now cumulative deliveries have exceeded 1.2 million units. Taking this as a new starting point, AITO will continue to equip all its models with CATL batteries over the long term, and both parties will continue to expand the breadth and depth of cooperation in core areas such as expanding "factory-in-factory" production capacity, building an ultra-fast charging energy replenishment ecosystem, and accelerating global layout.
The agreement makes clear that CATL will continue to increase its investment in Chongqing, helping Chongqing build a trillion-level high-end intelligent connected new energy vehicle industry cluster.
