As the "first family sedan-coupe for young families," the Seal 06EV, since its launch at the Chongqing Auto Show on June 7, has won high favor from the market and consumers with its low-slung styling, spacious interior, rich configuration, 545 km long range, and a starting price of 109,800 yuan. Moreover, the Seal 06EV has an important highlight: BYD has brought many black technologies down to it. For example, the Seal 06EV is equipped with BYD's DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system, God's Eye C - intelligent driving assistance triple-camera version, and the high-end version of the intelligent cockpit - DiLink 100, and so on.
The Seal 06EV is built on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 Evo, equipped with an eight-in-one intelligent electric drive, a high-safety Blade Battery, and paired with CTB integrated body technology. So how does the Seal 06EV perform in these aspects? We got a chance for a test drive and conducted an in-depth experience of the Seal 06EV's intelligent parking assistance, DiSus-C, high-speed and expressway navigation guidance, and other functions. Next, I will summarize the test drive impressions for everyone's reference. 
In many people's fixed impressions, intelligent parking assistance seems to be a "white elephant," especially for experienced drivers; that is because they have not encountered a model with better intelligent parking assistance. At the test drive venue, dead-end parking spaces, narrow spaces, and various marked parking spaces were set up, all of which are parking spaces that are usually not easy to park in. 
Thanks to the full-scenario intelligent parking function equipped on the Seal 06EV, it supports automatic parking space search, driver-selected parking spaces, and according to the driver's intention, automatically calculates the parking trajectory and controls the vehicle's gear, steering, braking, and drive systems. Therefore, in the face of those complex parking spaces set up at the event site, the Seal 06EV can handle them all with one click, and can achieve smooth and accurate parking in and out, worthy of being called an experienced driver. 
"No rear-wheel drive, no luxury." This applies not only to fuel vehicles, but also in the era of new energy vehicles. The Seal 06EV adopts a rear-wheel-drive power layout, equipped with front double-ball-joint MacPherson + rear five-link independent suspension, giving it inherent handling performance. Not only that, it is also equipped with an active variable damping suspension - BYD's black technology DiSus-C intelligent damping body control system; with millisecond-level response and real-time adjustment of damping force, it can achieve enhanced support during cornering and efficient vibration filtering on bumpy roads. This experience session set up slalom and 0-100 km/h acceleration. 
As everyone knows, slalom tests a vehicle's steering precision, power distribution efficiency, and body posture control ability, that is, handling performance. Thanks to the addition of DiSus-C, driving the Seal 06EV makes it easy to pass the test, and the suspension support is very stable, so people in the car will not sway from side to side. Driving the Seal 06EV on mountain roads must be very enjoyable, balancing handling and comfort; it can also effectively reduce rear-seat passengers' motion sickness on mountain roads. 
The 0-100 km/h acceleration tests the vehicle's starting performance and braking performance. The Seal 06EV's drive motor has a maximum power of 160 kW and a maximum torque of 330 N•m, and the 0-50 km/h acceleration time is only 3.1 s. During the actual measurement, pressing the "accelerator" to the floor unleashed power instantly, with a full sense of pushback. If it runs fast, it must also brake well. The Seal 06EV's braking performance is equally impressive; pressing the brake "to the floor" directly, the body posture remained very stable, with no nose-diving. 
Regarding the high-speed and expressway navigation guidance function of the God's Eye C - intelligent driving assistance triple-camera version intelligent driving assistance system equipped on the Seal 06EV, we specifically chose a section of expressway for a test drive experience. After turning on the intelligent driving assistance function, in addition to conventional functions such as adaptive cruise and intelligent speed limiting, it can also autonomously enter and exit ramps, autonomously change lanes, and also supports lane changes via the turn signal stalk. The overall experience was still very smooth. It is worth mentioning that this system on the Seal 06EV relies on 5R12V advanced sensors and algorithms to achieve more than 20 functions including high-speed and expressway navigation guidance, automatic parking, and AEB automatic emergency braking. 
It is worth mentioning that the Seal 06EV is also equipped with the high-end version of the intelligent cockpit - DiLink 100. In actual testing, its infotainment system's smoothness and response speed were both very fast. In addition to conventional functions such as online navigation and online audio-visual entertainment, it also supports full-scenario four-zone intelligent voice interaction, as well as intelligent power on/off and other functions. Regarding the intelligent cockpit, this was not the focus of this test drive experience, but during the test drive, I did experience related functions, especially the intelligent voice interaction. It can recognize Sichuan dialect, and the accuracy and speed of recognition can be said to be perfect. 
Finally, let me briefly talk about the Seal 06EV's exterior, interior, space, and humanized configuration! In terms of exterior, the Seal 06EV adopts a new ocean aesthetics design language, with an Ocean-X front face design, equipped with dual L "riding the wind and breaking the waves" headlights, and the entire front face looks low-slung. On the side of the body, it adopts a light and dynamic waistline design, smooth and dynamic; it is also paired with 18-inch five-pointed star sharp wheels and semi-hidden door handles. At the rear, it adopts a through-type taillight called "deep waves," equipped with an illuminated rear LOGO. 
In terms of interior, the Seal 06EV has a sea-rhythm elegant cockpit design, looking simple and grand. It is paired with a column-mounted electronic gear shifter, a 15.6-inch high-definition floating Pad, an 8.8-inch LCD instrument panel, colorful ambient lights, and a 50W wireless phone charging panel. Especially the electronic column shifter design makes the entire interior look cleaner and more premium.
As a family sedan-coupe, the Seal 06EV's body dimensions are 4720×1880×1495 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2820 mm, providing ample seating space in both front and rear rows. In terms of storage capacity, it is equipped with a 65L front trunk that can hold a 20-inch suitcase; its rear trunk has a standard volume of 423L, which can meet various loading needs. Moreover, the whole vehicle has 24 storage spaces, making it more convenient to store small items. 
In terms of humanized configuration, the Seal 06EV is equipped with a dual-purpose heating and cooling refrigerator, supporting cooling from -6°C to 6°C and heating from 35°C to 50°C; at the same time, the front seats also support ventilation and heating. It also has configurations such as mobile phone NFC car key, mobile phone Bluetooth car key, mobile phone cloud key, W-HUD head-up display, and OTA intelligent remote upgrade. 
Conclusion: Through this test drive experience, setting aside the Seal 06EV's exterior, interior, and space performance, it is indeed the best within 130,000 yuan in terms of intelligent driving assistance, driving and riding quality, and comfort. As described in the title, the Seal 06EV's intelligent parking assistance is quite smooth. Whether it is an angled parking space, a dead-end parking space, or a parking space with unclear markings, it can smoothly park in and out. Of course, with the addition of DiSus-C, its lateral support during sharp corners is improved by no small amount; and on bumpy roads it can efficiently filter vibrations, so the comfort of driving and riding is self-evident. I think the product strength of the Seal 06EV is fully worthy of, and even exceeds, its price.
