The new-generation IM LS6 officially debuts: pre-sales start at 209,900 yuan, comprehensive range exceeds 1,500 km
At the 2025 Chengdu International Auto Show, the new-generation IM LS6 made its global debut. Positioned as a "super large five-seat intelligent SUV," the new car will be the first to feature IM's self-developed "Stellar" super range-extender platform, with a comprehensive range exceeding 1,500 km. The company announced that the new car opened pre-sales on August 15, with pre-sale benefit prices ranging from 209,900 to 279,900 yuan, and it will officially go on sale on September 10.
Exterior: Sportiness and technological feel coexist
The new car's front face adopts an all-new design, with a closed grille paired with T-shaped headlights, offering higher visual recognition. The logo has been moved up to the front edge of the hood, and together with the large black air intake grille below, it creates a strong sporty atmosphere.
The side profile continues the dynamic stance, with sharp character lines paired with hidden door handles, and dual five-spoke wheels with red calipers further strengthening the sporty feel. In terms of dimensions, the range-extender version measures 4,937/1,988/1,671 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2,960 mm; the pure electric version is only 2 mm lower in height, with all other parameters identical.
The rear continues the current model's family design, with a through-type taillight, an upturned ducktail, and a lower spoiler combining to create a sense of layering and dynamism. The license plate frame has been moved lower, optimizing the overall visual proportions.
Interior: Comprehensive upgrade of the intelligent cockpit
The new-generation LS6 is equipped with an all-new "all-scenario digital cockpit," featuring flagship-level Mini LED display technology, including a 5K driver's cockpit screen and a 3K front passenger entertainment screen, delivering an immersive interactive experience. For the steering wheel, two options are offered: full-circle and YAT half-circle, highlighting personalization.
The new car is also equipped with a floating audio system, in-car refrigerator, ambient lighting, second-row seat heating, and other luxury features, creating a comfortable and intelligent driving atmosphere.
Power: First to feature the "Stellar" super range extender
The new car will be equipped with IM's "Stellar" super range-extender system, composed of a 1.5T dedicated range-extender engine and a 66 kWh super Xiaoyao MAX battery. The maximum CLTC pure electric range reaches 450 km, and the comprehensive range exceeds 1,500 km.
In terms of charging, relying on an 800V ultra-fast charging platform, it can add 310 km of range in just 15 minutes; at low battery levels, the battery's maximum discharge power can reach 275.5 kW.
Power performance is equally strong, with an 800V SiC Hurricane motor standard across the lineup, dual-motor peak power reaching 500 kW, peak torque of 800 N·m, and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of just 3.48 seconds.
