At 1 a.m. Beijing time on July 1, official images of the all-new BMW X5 were officially unveiled. The new car offers as many as 5 powertrain forms, including gasoline, diesel, plug-in hybrid, pure electric, and hydrogen fuel cell. Although not all powertrain forms will be introduced into China, fortunately, it is expected that the new car will enter the domestic market in 2027.

Exterior design: The all-new X5 adopts BMW's new-era family design. The retro vertical twin-kidney front grille is accented by light strips, and the front headlight cluster comes standard with matrix LED headlights, with an illumination distance of more than 600 meters. The daytime running lights present an X shape, offering extremely high recognizability, and when the turn signal is lit, the daytime running lights turn yellow, making them especially eye-catching.

Body dimensions: The new car is more than 4.99 meters long, with specific dimensions varying by version, and the wheelbase has been extended by 60 mm compared with the old model. The current overseas version of the BMW X5 is 4.93 meters long, while the domestically produced BMW X5 is 5.06 meters long after lengthening. It is expected that after domestic production, the new car will be further lengthened, and the body length will exceed that of the current model. In terms of wheel sizes, multiple styles ranging from 21 inches to 23 inches are offered.

Rear section: The all-new X5 abandons the split tailgate and adopts a recessed tailgate design. It also comes standard with a rear airflow diffuser to improve aerodynamic performance. The new car comes standard with soft-close doors and offers an optional fully automatic power door opening function, supporting exterior touch-based door opening, automatic door closing when the brake is pressed, interior button control, voice operation, and more, using radar sensors to achieve obstacle detection and anti-collision protection.
