The station wagon has always occupied an awkward position in the Chinese market. Those who love it genuinely love it, but most people still lean toward SUVs. In the past, the budget for buying a wagon usually had to exceed 200,000 yuan, and the choices were limited—the NIO ET5T starts at nearly 300,000 yuan, and the Zeekr 007GT and Avatr 06GT are mostly above 200,000 yuan. It was not until June 29 that the Lynk & Co 07GT, with a presale price starting at 165,800 yuan, brought this category into the 150,000-yuan-class plug-in hybrid segment.

This is not "a sedan with a butt added"
In many people's perception, a wagon is nothing more than a sedan with an extended rear cargo area, and "mediocre" and "family-oriented" are its inherent labels. But the Lynk & Co 07GT aims to break through such a framework. The new car was jointly created by Chinese and European design teams, with body dimensions of 4,846/4,866 (with sport package) × 1,900 × 1,485 mm and a wheelbase of 2,843 mm. Its 1.28 width-to-height ratio creates a wide-body, low-slung sporty stance. The colors are especially ingenious: Pamir Blue extracts the translucent texture of plateau lakes, Namibia Yellow blends desert grain with ruby pearl luster, and Matte Mont Blanc Gray replicates the chill of Mont Blanc. Each color corresponds to a distant landscape.

The cabin is no less impressive. The driver and front passenger seats have 12-way power adjustment, with heating, ventilation, and massage functions fully equipped, while the rear backrest is adjustable from 119° to 129°; there is a 23-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with 7.1.4 multichannel sound; and a 5.5L heating and cooling temperature-controlled box. The trunk offers 614L in normal configuration and can expand to 1,665L with the rear seats folded down. In short, this car does not merely talk about sentiment—it first pushes space and comfort to the extreme.
Supercar suspension trickled down—this is the real skill
What truly sets the Lynk & Co 07GT apart from those products that "just put a wagon shell on" is the chassis.
Since entering TCR competition in 2019, Lynk & Co has won nine world championships in total. The data accumulated on the track—chassis tuning, suspension calibration, body posture control, and more—has been systematically fed back into the development of production cars. The Lynk & Co 07GT is the only model in its class of wagons equipped with MRC magnetorheological suspension. This setup, originally used only on supercars such as the Chevrolet Corvette and Ferrari Daytona SP3, has a response time of just 1 millisecond and can complete thousands of damping adjustments per second. Combined with a self-developed road preview algorithm, it can identify road conditions 15 meters ahead in advance and actively adjust the suspension.

Simply put: it softens over speed bumps and stiffens during high-speed cornering. It does not wait until after the bump to remedy the situation, but buffers in advance.
Even more impressive, the Lynk & Co 07GT, targeting high-frequency scenarios for wagon users, completed the industry's first moose test under special operating conditions—82.1 km/h with a roof box installed and 81.9 km/h with towing equipment. When fully loaded, carrying cargo, or towing, the chassis remains stable. This is not a "staged camping" gimmick, but real hard power that can actually go out and drive steadily.
In terms of power, the EM-P intelligent hybrid system is paired with a 1.5T Evo engine, with a thermal efficiency of 47.26%. The two-wheel-drive version has a pure electric range of 200 km and a combined range of 1,422 km; the four-wheel-drive version has a combined power of 390 kW and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Use electricity for commuting and fuel for long trips—no compromise on either.
Pack the distant places into the car
In terms of outdoor expansion, the Lynk & Co 07GT is more practical than many products that call themselves "camping divine cars."
The roof rack has a dynamic load capacity of 100 kg, 25 kg more redundancy than the same class; the electric hidden tow hook comes from the factory with legal towing qualification, with a maximum tow rating of 1.6 tons. After connecting a trailer, tow mode is automatically activated and synchronously adapts and adjusts the ESP, cruise, and camera systems. With 6 kW external discharge, connecting a coffee machine, grill, or projector is no problem.

On the intelligent level, the LYNK Flyme Auto 2.5 system works with a 15.4-inch central control screen and a 95-inch AR-HUD, while the newly added physical Eva robot supports facial expression interaction and voice communication. For intelligent driving, it is equipped with the Qianli Haohan H7 solution, including 27 sensors such as lidar, and supports parking spot-to-parking spot navigation and urban NOA. The interior also reserves a 1/4 threaded interface, making it convenient to secure and power shooting equipment—for road-trip bloggers and outdoor creators, this detail is very thoughtful.
The Time Limited Edition is priced at 208,800 yuan, limited to 1,007 units, and sold out in just over an hour after the press conference ended. The regular version has three configurations priced from 165,800 to 185,800 yuan and will officially go on sale in July.
Whether wagons in China can move from niche to mainstream, the market will give the answer. But the Lynk & Co 07GT at least got one thing right—it did not make consumers understand wagons first; instead, it made the wagon match Chinese consumers first. A 150,000-yuan-class price, supercar-level chassis, wagon space, SUV-like expansion capability, plus the low cost of a plug-in hybrid—this combination punch at least gives those young families who "do not want every car to look like an SUV, yet are unwilling to make their car boring for the sake of practicality" one more choice without compromise.
As for whether it can truly raise the ceiling of the wagon category? We will wait for orders after its July launch to prove it.
