On August 28, FAW-Volkswagen officially announced in Hangzhou that the ID.AURA T6 has begun presales.

The new car is offered in 4 trim levels: 540Pro, 660Pro, 660Max LiDAR Edition, and 660Ultra LiDAR Edition, with presale prices of 135,900 to 169,900 yuan.

As the first model under Volkswagen's Intelligent Electric 2.0 strategy, the T6 is built on the all-new CEA electronic and electrical architecture, adopting a "central computing + zone control" topology. Its body dimensions are 4811×1879×1648 mm, with a wheelbase of 2836 mm.

The cabin is equipped with a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 15.6-inch floating central control screen, and a 25.8-inch AR-HUD, featuring a 4nm smart cockpit chip and a built-in AI Agent dedicated computing power module.

It is powered by a 170 kW single motor and offers two battery packs, 59.9 kWh and 77.5 kWh, with CLTC ranges of 540 km and 660 km respectively. The entry-level version accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.2 seconds.

Higher-end models are equipped with a 192-line LiDAR and Horizon Journey 6H chip, with 420 TOPS of computing power, developed by CARIZON, a joint venture between Volkswagen and Horizon Robotics, and support highway and urban NOA.

During the presale period, placing an order grants exclusive benefits worth more than 21,000 yuan, including a limited-time free installation of seat ventilation and heating for the Pro version.

Quick comment:

LiDAR, urban NOA, CEA architecture, and a 4nm chip for 130,000 yuan—Volkswagen has emptied out its toolbox this time. The rear row has an 85% space utilization rate, and the space is big enough. Intelligent driving has finally caught up with the pace. The downside is that presale and official prices usually still have room for adjustment, so let's wait until launch to see the specific configurations.
