On August 27, Geely Galaxy officially released the exterior official images of its all-new mid-size sedan, the Galaxy Xingyao 6. The new car will be equipped with the new-generation Thor AI EM 2.0 technology, and the body uses topcoat from BASF and AXALTA brands, with an average clearcoat film thickness of 55um.

In terms of exterior, the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 6 continues the brand's "Ripple Aesthetics" design language. The shield-shaped grille is accented with vertical chrome strips inside, the lamp structure within the headlight assembly is very sharp, the three-section air intake at the bottom has an exaggerated shape, and the raised crease lines on the hood further enhance the sporty feel.

The waistline on the side of the new car extends from the front headlight eyebrow to the taillight, blade-like element lines are added at the door positions, and the large-size wheels are full of tension. The rear of the new car is equipped with a through-type taillight, and a diffuser decoration is added at the bottom of the rear bumper. The body's length, width, and height are 4806/1886/1490mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 2756mm.

In terms of power, the new car will be equipped with the new-generation Thor EM-i super hybrid system. In the system, the 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 82 kilowatts, and it is equipped with a 17kWh battery pack, with a pure electric range of 125 kilometers.

Dada Review: The Geely Galaxy Xingyao 6 is a brand-new plug-in hybrid sedan in the Galaxy series, and its starting price is expected to be around 100,000. The exterior of the Geely Galaxy Xingyao 6 has a strong visual impact, and at first glance it looks very much like a "shrunk version of the Mercedes-AMG C-Class." The new-generation Thor EM-i super hybrid system has very high fuel economy, with fuel consumption as low as 3.75L/100km when depleted, pure electric mode can meet daily commuting needs, and fuel costs for long-distance self-driving are also not high. The new car is expected to be equipped with the Galaxy family's intelligent cockpit, featuring a 14.6-inch central control screen + Flyme Auto infotainment system, and supporting Huawei HiCar and L2-level assisted driving. BYD's Qin PLUS DM-i and Seal 05 DM-i are strong competitors to the Xingyao 6. The Xingyao 6 has a certain advantage in wheelbase, and its exterior is indeed somewhat more attractive. The official interior images and configuration information of the new car will be released later, and we will continue to follow up and bring reports.
