On December 23, the Dongfeng Forthing Leiting range-extender version was officially launched, with 1 model introduced, priced at 129,900 yuan. The new car uses a 1.5L engine as a range extender, with a CLTC all-electric range of 230 km.
In terms of appearance, the new car as a whole continues the design language of the pure electric version on sale, while the front-end design has become more concise. The split-type headlights remain unchanged, the large black decorations on both sides of the headlights have been removed, and the air intake at the bottom of the front bumper has also been adjusted. The new car reverts to the through-type taillights of the 2023 model and features deflector groove decorations on both sides, while the rear bumper decorations have also been optimized. The new car measures 4600/1860/1700 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2715 mm, and its body length is 30 mm longer than the version on sale.

In terms of power, the Dongfeng Forthing Leiting range-extender version has a combined system power of 120 kW and combined torque of 240 N·m, with fuel consumption as low as 5.4 L/100 km when the battery is depleted. It is equipped with a Sunwoda lithium iron phosphate battery, has a CLTC all-electric range of 230 km, charges from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes, and supports 3.3 kW external discharge.
