On March 4, BYD released the official interior images of its full-size SUV under the Dynasty Network, the BYD Datang. The new car will make its official debut tomorrow (March 5), filling the gap in the "Dynasty Network" for large luxury SUVs and forming a strategic complement to the Denza N9.

In terms of the interior, the new car's full LCD instrument screen, floating central control screen, and front passenger entertainment screen adopt an all-new layout. Drawing inspiration from ancient Chinese architecture, the design features a central control panel with geometric corners, while the wood grain texture adds warmth and the color scheme exudes a strong sense of premium quality. Below the central control panel, the new car features a wireless phone charging pad, physical buttons have been retained, and the cup holders behind are covered by a wood grain panel. The door handles use electronic buttons.

The new car's second-row independent seats come with integrated leg rests, and the seats support one-touch lie-flat functionality, with diamond stitching enhancing the premium feel. The new car provides rear passengers with luxury features such as a folding screen, a small table, and an onboard refrigerator, while the third-row seats also offer electric adjustment and heating functions.

In terms of power, the new car's pure electric single-motor version has a maximum power of 300kW or 370kW, while the dual-motor version has front and rear motor maximum powers of 215kW and 370kW respectively. The new car's plug-in hybrid version may adopt a combination of a 2.0T engine plus three electric motors, with a system combined power potentially exceeding 500kW and a pure electric range of 410 kilometers. The new car is built on a full-domain 1000V high-voltage architecture, supporting a maximum charging power of 1000kW (1 megawatt), enabling 400 kilometers of range recovery with just 5 minutes of charging.

Dada Review: The BYD Datang targets the 400,000-yuan high-end market, directly competing with "9-series" large SUVs such as the Li L9 and AITO M9, with a predicted starting price of 389,800 yuan. As the flagship SUV of the Dynasty Network, the new car will integrate BYD's accumulated advanced technologies. The chassis features millisecond-level damping adjustment plus air suspension for comfort and handling, rear-wheel steering reduces the turning radius, megawatt flash charging provides extremely high charging efficiency, and the blade battery offers excellent safety. The BYD Datang is expected to become a high-end, high-volume new energy flagship SUV with solid market prospects, though to some extent it will also affect the sales of the Denza N9.
