On March 25, Xpeng Motors released the official images of its compact sedan, the new Xpeng MONA M03. The new Xpeng MONA M03 adds two new body colors: Roland Purple and Avocado Green. For reference, the current Xpeng MONA M03 has 4 models on sale, priced between 119,800 and 139,800 yuan.
In terms of exterior, as an annual facelift, the new Xpeng MONA M03 overall continues the design language of the current model. The front face continues to adopt the combination of a closed grille and T-shaped headlight group, the taillight shape echoes the front headlights, and the small ducktail on the trunk adds a sporty touch. The newly added Roland Purple and Avocado Green body colors better highlight youthfulness and fashion. The body length, width, and height are 4780/1896/1445mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2815mm.
In terms of interior, the new Xpeng MONA M03 continues the interior design of the current model, continuing to offer a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel and a 15.6-inch central control screen. The position of the front-row dual cup holders has been slightly adjusted backward, and the area below the center armrest adopts a hollow design, improving storage space. The new car will be equipped with the AI Tianji 5.7.0 system, with Qualcomm 8295 chips standard across the entire lineup, and the intelligent driving function supports national highways, urban roads, and expressways.
In terms of power, the new car will continue the power configuration of the current model. For reference, the current MONA M03 uses a front-mounted drive motor, with motor power available in two versions: 190 horsepower and 218 horsepower. It provides lithium iron phosphate battery packs with capacities of 51.8kWh and 62.2kWh, and CLTC pure electric range has four options: 502km, 515km, 600km, and 620km.
Dada review: The Xpeng MONA M03 is the first model in the Xpeng MONA series. It was launched in August 2024, focusing on intelligent driving equality, 800V fast charging, and long range, and is the best-selling model in the 100,000-150,000 yuan price range for pure electric sedans. The Xpeng MONA M03 is built on an 800V high-voltage platform. In fast charging mode, it can add 200km of range in 15 minutes, and its drag coefficient of 0.194Cd is the lowest in its class. Competing models in the same class such as the BYD Qin L EV, Aion RT, and Leapmotor B01 are all reducing prices and adding features, and Leapmotor has even brought LiDAR down to lower-priced models.
