On April 7, the NIO brand released official images of its all-new large SUV, the NIO ES9. As the brand's all-new flagship SUV, the new car will be built with the highest level of craftsmanship and technology, and will be equipped with technologies such as the SkyRide fully active suspension and SkyRide steer-by-wire, and will make its official debut and start pre-sales on April 9.

In terms of exterior, the new car adopts the family's latest Shark Nose design language, with split headlight clusters featuring sharp edges and corners. Inside, they contain multiple crystal element light sources, and may support functions such as welcome light effects, welcome projection, and projected light shows, while also supporting FOTA for continuous evolution of the lighting capability.

The new car is equipped with one wide-angle lidar on each of the left and right front fenders. The lower edge of the side windows uses a hidden water trim process, and it is equipped with hidden door handles, giving the side profile a strong sense of overall cohesion. At the rear, the new car features a through-type light strip composed of SuperRed ultra-red LED particles, with the light strip surrounded by satin high-gloss trim and brushed metal accents. The body's length, width, and height are 5365/2029/1870mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 3250mm.

In terms of interior, the new car adopts a wraparound design, applies the Skyline panoramic screen, and both the driver and front passenger can display vehicle information. The front passenger area has entertainment functions and is equipped with the same 15.6-inch AMOLED floating central control screen as the ET9. High-end configurations such as real wood trim, Nappa leather, and an in-car refrigerator are all available. Embroidery craftsmanship is added to the door trim panels and below the seat headrests, and this craftsmanship may only appear on the top-trim model.

In terms of power, the maximum power of the new car's front and rear motors is 180 kW and 340 kW respectively. It is equipped with a 102kWh power battery pack, and its CLTC pure electric range is available in three versions: 580 km, 600 km, and 620 km.

Dada Review: The NIO ES9 is built on a full-domain 900V high-voltage architecture. The SkyRide intelligent chassis is an industry benchmark and is the world's first chassis architecture to deeply integrate steer-by-wire, fully active suspension, and rear-wheel steering technologies. Torque adjustment 1,000 times per second achieves millisecond-level coordination. Steer-by-wire eliminates the hard connection of the steering column, requiring only 0.66 turns lock-to-lock on one side, providing faster steering response than traditional hard-connected steering. Rear-wheel steering technology gives it a turning diameter of only 10.9 meters, making a 5.3-meter large car drive like a small car and ride like a million-yuan luxury car. The NIO ES9's 900V battery swapping advantage eliminates range anxiety. Under ultra-fast charging, 5 minutes of charging adds 255 km of range. Combined with NIO's nationwide battery swap stations, the vehicle's energy replenishment methods are more flexible and more efficient. The NIO ES9 is expected to be priced in the 500,000-600,000 yuan range, and with the BaaS battery rental plan, its starting price is expected to drop to 400,000 yuan. It has the strength to challenge the market position of the AITO M9 and become the "front-runner" among high-end pure electric flagship SUVs.
