On May 22, Arcfox Beta S3 was officially launched, offering two major versions—charging and battery swapping—with a total of 8 configurations, at a limited-time discounted price of 59,800 to 120,800 yuan. The new car is positioned as a "large-space, class-leading pure electric family sedan," and pre-sale orders have already exceeded 30,000 units.

The body dimensions are 4916×1900×1480mm, with a wheelbase of 2876mm, reaching the level of mainstream B-segment cars. The trunk has a regular volume of 465L, which can be expanded to 1746L when the rear seats are folded down. At the launch event, it was measured on site to hold 30 20-inch suitcases.

The whole vehicle has 28 storage spaces, with a cabin utilization rate of 91.2%. The front seats support 180-degree flat folding, forming a 1.8-meter fully flat bed mode with the rear seats. The rear seatback angle is 118 degrees, and the seat cushion length is 485mm.

Exterior colors include 7 options such as Flowing Light Silver, Cloud Rose Pink, Sparse Shadow Green, and Sunset Glow Purple. Interior features include heating/ventilation/massage for the driver and front passenger, and the front seats use a nine-layer bionic structure.

In terms of energy replenishment, the battery-swapping version is equipped with CATL's chocolate battery swap system. The official battery swap time is 99 seconds, with a measured time of 92 seconds. CATL plans to build 3,000 battery swap stations by 2026. The charging version supports fast charging, taking only 21 minutes from 30% to 80%. In terms of range, the maximum CLTC range is 660km, with excellent energy consumption control per 100 kilometers, and a heat pump air conditioner is standard across the entire lineup.

In terms of safety configuration, Arcfox Beta S3 is equipped with a tire blowout stability control system, which can keep the body stable during a blowout. High-strength steel accounts for 73.6% of the body, and torsional rigidity is 39861N·m/deg. The battery has passed fire testing with no thermal diffusion. The cabin uses low-VOC environmentally friendly materials, approaching 0 formaldehyde and 0 benzene. Active safety includes a 540° camera, door open warning, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking.

Dada review:

The Arcfox Beta S3 is quite interesting. For less than 60,000, it offers battery swapping, measured at less than 100 seconds, much faster than charging. The space is also spacious enough, fitting 30 boxes inside, and the front seats can even be folded flat to make a bed. In terms of configuration, things like a 660km range and tire blowout stability control have not been cut either. It will be more convenient once battery swap stations are rolled out more widely. At this stage, even if you drive it as a charging car, this price is not a loss. For family users who want to save time and also want large space, it is worth a look.
