On July 16, the second model in Xpeng's MONA series, the L03, officially went on sale. This is the series' first SUV, offered in 9 configurations with an official guide price of 123,800 to 156,800 yuan. The first model in the MONA series, the M03, launched in August 2024 and delivered over 62,000 units in the first half of this year, accounting for more than 40% of Xpeng's sales as a single model.

In terms of dimensions, the L03 measures 4650/1920/1600mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2850mm. It is slightly shorter but taller than its sibling the M03, placing it in the standard compact SUV segment and making it Xpeng's smallest SUV to date. Sporty elements such as the T-shaped headlights, sloping roofline, and full-width taillights give it a silhouette closer to that of a coupe SUV.
The interior features soft-touch upholstery and a velvet headliner, with four interior color options. It is equipped with a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen, with no traditional instrument cluster—driving information is projected via a standard 26.8-inch W-HUD. Front seat heating and ventilation, an all-scenario tire blowout stability function, and a 20-speaker audio system are all standard across the range.

Powertrain is one area where the L03 stands out from many rivals in its class. It offers both pure electric and range-extender options, with a single rear motor across the range producing a peak output of 183 kW. The range-extender version pairs with a 1.5L range extender, while the pure electric version offers battery capacities of 56 kWh and 69 kWh.
Intelligent driving is the main differentiator across the three configuration tiers. The Plus version covers basic needs, the Max version adds a single Turing AI chip and 7 smart-driving cameras, supporting parking-space-to-parking-space navigation assist; the Ultra SE version upgrades to dual chips and adds an in-cabin camera, extending capabilities to features such as navigation-free NGP roaming.
It is worth noting that the L03 is also a global model aimed at overseas markets.

Dada's take:
The sub-150,000 yuan segment is often seen as a "compromise zone," but the MONA L03 achieves price parity between pure electric and range-extender versions, offers features like HUD and seat heating and ventilation across the entire range, eliminates the need to choose between power and features, and uses chip count to create a smart-driving gradient. The M03 proved that users in this segment are willing to pay for smart driving, and what the L03 needs to do is put the same smart-driving gradient into an SUV form factor while using a range extender to bring in users who have concerns about charging.
