On July 23, Deepal Motors released the official interior images of its compact SUV, the new Deepal S05. The new Deepal S05 will offer a lidar-equipped version, and a new Nebula Purple color has been added to the interior. It is expected to go on sale in the third quarter of this year (2026).

In terms of the interior, the newly added Nebula Purple color scheme adopts a combination of dark on the top and light on the bottom, with chrome elements added as accents at areas such as the air vents. It is paired with a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a column shifter, and a floating central control screen. A HUD head-up display is provided in front of the steering wheel. The center console island adds a wireless phone charging pad and dual cup holders, while the lower section adopts a hollowed-out design, improving storage capacity.

In terms of power, the new Deepal S05 continues to be equipped with the model XTDM67 permanent magnet synchronous rear-mounted single motor, with a maximum power of 272 horsepower. The Golden Bell Battery pack is supplied by CATL, and battery packs with capacities of 56.12 kWh and 68.82 kWh correspond to CLTC ranges of 520 km and 620 km, respectively. The current extended-range powertrain will continue into the new model, with a combined range of up to 1,310 km.

Dada Review: The Deepal S05 is positioned as a compact new energy SUV in the 100,000-150,000 yuan range. Its compact body has the wheelbase of a mid-size SUV (2,880 mm), giving it class-leading space performance. The Deepal S05 first went on sale in October 2024, and the extended-range version went on sale in September 2025. In May 2026, 18,866 units were sold, and in June, 18,369 units were sold, showing excellent sales performance. This update is a mid-cycle facelift, adding a version with lidar. The starting price of the new model is expected to remain 119,900 yuan, while the price of the higher-trim version equipped with lidar will be higher than the current model. The new Deepal S05 changes the original fully hidden door handles to semi-hidden mechanical ones, solving the pain points of hidden door handles freezing in low temperatures and jamming with mud and sand. The front light cluster has been upgraded to a new petal-style daytime running light, and the front bumper details have been slightly adjusted. Higher-trim models will add a new intelligent driving blue light, offer a new style of 18-inch wheels, and an power tailgate. The overall interior changes are minimal.
