On October 8, Fangchengbao officially released exterior official images of its large SUV, the Fangchengbao Tai 9, in Meteorite Black. The Fangchengbao Tai 9 is equipped with sixth-generation DM-i hybrid technology. After launch, it will become the flagship model of the Tai series, with a 6-seat interior design, and an expected price in the 400,000 range.

In terms of exterior, the new car continues the family-style design, with a closed grille and a continuous ring light strip on the front face. The all-black paint gives it an even stronger presence, and it comes standard with the God's Eye B 5.0 advanced intelligent assisted driving system.

The new car adopts a body structure with a short front overhang and a long rear overhang, while the waistline and wheel arches are expanded outward as a whole, enhancing the body's muscularity and sense of power. The new car's tailgate uses a split-opening sky-and-earth door structure, paired with a T-shaped taillight, giving the rear extremely high recognizability. The new car's length, width, and height are 5270mm/1999mm/1850mm respectively, with a wheelbase of 3130mm, an approach angle of 19°, and a departure angle of 22°.

In terms of power, the Fangchengbao Tai 9's sixth-generation DM-i plug-in hybrid four-wheel-drive system consists of a 1.5T engine plus front and rear dual motors. Among them, the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115kW, and the total power of the front and rear dual motors reaches 400kW. The Fangchengbao Tai 9's battery pack capacity is 66.48kWh, with a pure electric range of 310km (WLTC), and a combined range of over 1,600 kilometers with a full tank of fuel and full charge.
Dada Review: The Fangchengbao Tai 9 is positioned as a full-size boxy large six-seat plug-in hybrid SUV, focusing on new-tech luxury, three-row equality, and light off-road capability. Unlike the body-on-frame Leopard 5 and Leopard 8, the Fangchengbao Tai 9's benchmark models are large SUVs with high intelligence and comfort such as the Li Auto L9 and AITO M9. The Fangchengbao Tai 9 is equipped with BYD's second-generation blade battery, supports fast charging, can use 92-octane gasoline, has a 2-ton towing capability, comes with rear-wheel steering across the entire lineup, and all three rows of seats come standard with ventilation, heating, and massage functions, truly achieving three-row equality, so the third row is no longer just an emergency seat. Compared with competitors, the Tai 9's exterior is more rugged and no longer a rounded "dad car," and the rear sky-and-earth tailgate is friendly for camping loading. Users who like the boxy exterior while also valuing comfort should pay more attention to this new car.
