The 2002 Mercedes-Benz S600 limousine, namely the Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman, was built based on the W220 Mercedes-Benz S-Class and was a luxury extended-wheelbase model under the Mercedes-Benz brand. The term "Pullman" originates from the name of George Mortimer Pullman, a 19th-century American railway carriage manufacturer whose carriages were renowned for their luxury and comfort. In 1928, Mercedes-Benz named the W08/460 Nürburg the Pullman, beginning the history of the Mercedes-Benz Pullman series. In 1964, Mercedes-Benz introduced the 600 series sedans and Pullman models, making them the vehicles of choice for dignitaries and celebrities. The W220 Mercedes-Benz S-Class was launched in 1997, and the Pullman version was introduced in 2000. The 2002 Mercedes-Benz S600 Pullman had a total body length of approximately 6158mm, a wheelbase exceeding 4 meters, and a cabin layout of 2+2+2 or 2+2+3, accommodating up to 7 people. This model was produced in very small numbers and was mainly used by dignitaries and VIPs. Fortunately, this car also made its way into China.
