Ignite the engine in Heihe, master the ice and snow! From February 27 to March 1, the 2025 (Third) Pickup Ice and Snow Driving Experience Camp and Cold Region Off-Road Challenge officially kicked off in Heihe City, Heilongjiang Province. JAC Pickup brought the JAC Hunter and JAC T8 PRO Cold Region Edition models to participate. They not only successfully passed the extreme cold performance tests but also delivered an impressive performance in the cold region off-road challenge, roaming freely and fully demonstrating their rugged character!
When it is cold, cars also "feel the cold," making rigorous cold region testing crucial! Heihe City in Heilongjiang Province is located in the northeastern corner of China, where winter temperatures often drop to minus thirty or forty degrees Celsius, making it an ideal cold region testing ground. This event was jointly organized by China Pickup Network, China Automotive Research, Heilongjiang Honghe Valley, and the Heihe Vehicle Testing Office, integrating performance testing, driving experience, and off-road challenges to comprehensively assess vehicle performance in extreme cold climates.
In the extreme cold performance tests organized by China Automotive Research, both the JAC Hunter and JAC T8 PRO Cold Region Edition models withstood the challenges in terms of vehicle safety and handling on icy and snowy roads. Particularly in terms of cold start response speed, the winter-grade fluids in both models were fully upgraded, enabling smooth one-button startup at minus 30°C, while window defogging and defrosting as well as air conditioning heating performed exceptionally well!
To cope with extreme cold weather such as heavy snow and freezing rain, JAC Pickup also launched Extreme Cold Edition products based on the JAC Hunter and JAC T8 PRO Cold Region Edition models.
