On October 19, the Wey Alpine 8 HEV officially opened for reservations, with a reservation price starting at 275,800 yuan, and is planned to be launched and delivered in the fourth quarter.
The most distinctive feature of this car is written into its form of powertrain: a gasoline-electric hybrid that requires no external charging and carries a blue license plate. People who buy MPVs either do not have a fixed parking space at home to install a charging pile, or do not want to change their vehicle usage habits just to save fuel costs. The Alpine 8 HEV removes this multiple-choice question—just refuel and go, no need to look for a charging pile, and fuel consumption is still controlled at a WLTC combined 6.92L/100km.

No charging does not mean no power. A 2.0T hybrid-dedicated engine paired with front and rear dual motors delivers a system maximum power of 322kW and peak torque of 782N·m, 0-100 km/h in 5.9 seconds, a top speed of 190km/h, runs on 92-octane gasoline, and comes standard across the lineup with Hi4 all-wheel drive and an all-aluminum suspension. For a large MPV that is 5.28 meters long with a wheelbase of 3.145 meters, this level of acceleration means overtaking while fully loaded in daily driving will not feel strained.

Space is the foundation of the Alpine family, and the HEV version has not been watered down. Three rows and seven seats, a flat floor, and a shared rail design for the second and third rows. The second-row Comfort Edition is equipped with dual movable armrest seats with ventilation, heating, and dual-sided trays; the Premium Edition upgrades to zero-gravity seats with 12-point massage, ventilation, and heating. The third row supports 4/6 split butterfly folding, and the luggage compartment flexibly adjusts between 435L and 1901L, while the interior can be laid out into a large-bed mode. Second- and third-row sunshades and factory privacy glass are also standard.

The cabin's equipment list is quite generous for the 270,000-yuan class. Dual 15.6-inch 2.5K connected screens plus a 17.3-inch 3K rear screen, all certified by TÜV Rheinland for low blue light and flicker-free performance. Qualcomm 8295P chip, Coffee OS 3.5 system, 23-speaker Dolby Atmos with peak power of 2440W, and a 12.5L smart dual-door refrigerator with cooling and heating tucked into the central armrest box. Front-row NAPPA leather seats come with 10-point massage, ventilation, and heating, and the driver's seat exclusively features headrest speakers.
Intelligent driving assistance has not been discounted because of its "gasoline-hybrid" identity. The Coffee Pilot 3 system, 27 high-precision sensors, a front-facing 192-line LiDAR paired with the Orin-Y chip, and 200TOPS of computing power. It supports park-to-park assisted driving—from driving out of a basement parking space, passing through gates, entering and exiting ramps, to automatic parking at the destination, with no need to take over throughout the process. 100-meter traceback reversing, 3-kilometer memory parking, and remote parking are all on the feature list.

The after-sales policy is also straightforward: lifetime warranty for the three electric systems, 6 years or 150,000 kilometers for the whole vehicle, and complimentary basic maintenance.
Starting at 275,800 yuan, you get a seven-seat all-wheel-drive MPV that requires no charging, comes with LiDAR, second-row zero-gravity seats, plus a refrigerator and large screens. The Alpine 8 HEV targets exactly those families and business users who want the new-energy experience but do not want to be tied down by charging piles. It will be launched in the fourth quarter, and the price and configuration ladder will be further clarified.
