Recently, the car world has indeed been quite lively, and the interior official images of the GAC Trumpchi E8 PHEV PRO+ have finally been released at this time. This car is really going to make a splash on Valentine's Day.

Regarding this car, Nianhan I really stayed up all night studying all the materials. I must have a good chat with fellow car enthusiasts about what mysteries are hidden in this newly added PRO+ version.
I heard that the current model's monthly sales have surged to 9,244 units. With this new configuration coming out, I'm afraid it will stir up the MPV market even more!

First, let me highlight the key points: this car maintains a 2,930mm wheelbase, adds DMS fatigue detection, comes standard across the lineup with a 25.57-degree large battery, has a CLTC range of 150km, and the price is estimated to start around 230,000 yuan and go upward.
But what surprised me most is that at this price point, it still retains traditional door handles? Can you accept that?

The front face still has the familiar formula, with a borderless grille paired with a continuous light strip. This design language is actually quite fresh on an MPV.
Focus on the side! Traditional door handles paired with electric sliding doors, this combination is like wearing a suit with sneakers. Practical, yes, but it always feels a bit lacking in tech sense.

However, after actually testing the current model, the opening angle of the electric sliding doors is indeed noticeably larger than that of同级 competitors, making it really convenient for elderly family members to get in and out.
Sitting inside the car, although the size of the floating central control screen has not changed, the newly added DMS fatigue detection system is a hardcore feature.
This thing can monitor the driver's state in real time—a godsend for long-distance road trips! The seat configuration is even more exaggerated: both the front row and second row have ventilation and heating. This treatment is absolutely top-tier among MPVs in the 230,000-yuan class.

But what I have to complain about is that the wireless charging position is still in the same old place, and you have to twist your waist to pick up and put down your phone. Should the designer go register at the orthopedics department?
It is still the same 2.0L naturally aspirated + electric motor plug-in hybrid combination. The parameters of 103kW + 134kW do not look fierce, but in actual driving the power transition is really smooth.
Focus on range! A 25.57-degree battery pack with 150km of pure electric range. Calculated at 30km of commuting per day, charging twice a week is enough. In actual testing of the current model, with a full tank and full charge it can run 1,100km+. Range anxiety? Nonexistent!

The current top trim at 238,800 yuan offers automatic parking and AR navigation. Although the full configuration of this PRO+ has not been announced, judging by the newly added DMS system, it should be positioned more toward safety technology.
Personally, I guess the price may be around 235,800 yuan. It would be even better if heated steering wheel could be standard. However, I should remind everyone that the HUD display area on the current model is rather small. I wonder whether the PRO+ version will optimize this pain point.
In a horizontal comparison with competitors, what card is Trumpchi playing this time?
The direct rival is the SAIC MAXUS Dajia 7 plug-in hybrid, whose starting price of 194,900 yuan is indeed tempting. But where is the extra 40,000 yuan of the Trumpchi E8 spent?
Dual-side electric doors, seat ventilation and heating, a larger central control screen, and Trumpchi's proud ADiGO intelligent driving system. If you ask me, families with two children should definitely choose the E8, but single nobles will find the Dajia 7 more cost-effective.

After chatting with several current owners, the common feedback is that there is still room for improvement in the smoothness of the infotainment system, especially the voice wake-up, which occasionally lags.
In addition, although the third-row seats can be magically stowed, the cushion height is rather low, and adults will still get sore legs on long trips.
However, the trunk space is truly impressive. With all three rows in use, it can still fit two 28-inch suitcases. The title of space magician is not for nothing.
Alright, after saying so much, what kind of consumer group is this car actually suitable for? Nianhan thinks the following three types of consumers can buy it without hesitation:
1. Two-child families: dual-side electric doors + flexible seat layout, a childcare神器.
2. Business reception: second-row seats with leg rests, receiving clients without losing face.
3. Cross-city commuters: 150km of pure electric range, zero fuel consumption for daily commuting.
Finally, let me say something from the bottom of my heart: if this car could upgrade the infotainment chip to the 8155 and raise the third-row cushion by 5cm, it would absolutely crush all MPVs under 300,000 yuan. But at its current configuration level, friends whose families genuinely need a seven-seat car can still seriously consider it.
