Nianhan just received a piece of freshly released good news: Chery Fengyun T9L will open blind pre-orders on January 17.

Not only that, Chery is moving pretty fast too. I heard it will officially go on sale around March to April this year.

Many car enthusiasts have asked me about this car before. Today I'll take the materials I have on hand and combine them with my own analysis to have a good chat with you all.

Without further ado, let's first talk about this "L." The car measures 4870/1930/1710 mm in length, width, and height. These figures are mainstream in its class, but the wheelbase directly reaches 2920 mm.

To be honest, this wheelbase figure is quite exaggerated. It's noticeably longer than many mid-size SUVs, and it's even close to the threshold of mid-to-large SUVs.

The effect brought by such a long wheelbase is naturally a very spacious rear seat area. For users with tall family members or those who like to lounge in the back, this space performance is well worth looking forward to.

In terms of exterior design, Chery has used the "Oriental Calligraphy Rhythm" design language this time. The front face is very clean. The slim headlight cluster paired with a closed-off grille gives it a strong new-energy vehicle flavor.

The key point is the lidar on the roof. Once this thing appears, it means the car's intelligent driving capability will not be weak.

The side lines are smooth, and the semi-hidden door handles both reduce wind resistance and take care of aesthetics.

At the rear, there is a full-width light cluster and also a rear spoiler, creating a good sense of sportiness.

Stepping inside, Chery has really spent generously this time. The floating large screen and column-mounted shifter are basic operations.

The key is the secondary instrument panel area, which has cup holders and wireless charging. Practicality is beyond reproach.

What's most pleasantly surprising is the two zero-gravity seats in the front row, plus the small table trays in the rear. These features are clearly aimed at family users. For long-distance travel or carrying kids, comfort can be improved quite a bit.

Add in the Falcon 700+ intelligent assisted driving system, and highway driving will be much easier.

In terms of power, it's still Chery's signature strength, namely the Kunpeng Super Performance Electric Hybrid C-DM system. The system's maximum power is 260 kW and torque is 330 N·m.

These parameters are completely sufficient to drive such a large car. Whether it's starting acceleration or high-speed overtaking, the confidence is very strong.

Next, let's talk about the price everyone cares about most. Referring to the current pricing of Fengyun T9, as an upgraded version, T9L has higher configuration and a larger size. Personally, I predict the starting price may be between 140,000 and 150,000 yuan.

If Chery wants to go for volume, setting a "let's be friends" price starting at 139,900 yuan is not impossible either. The market is fiercely competitive now. If the price isn't right, no matter how strong the product is, it will be hard to sell.

After this car hits the market, its biggest rivals will definitely still be veteran players like BYD Song L DM-i and Geely Galaxy L7. Even Leapmotor C11 and Deepal S07 will compete directly with it.

As for the advantages of Fengyun T9L, I think they are obvious.

For example, a class-leading wheelbase, huge space, and lidar, with a high ceiling for intelligent driving. Add Chery's engineering-minded technical foundation, and its power and chassis tuning are trustworthy.

Of course, there are certainly disadvantages too. For instance, the brand's appeal in the new-energy field still lags behind BYD, and the smoothness and UI design of the infotainment system have always been weak points for Chery. I hope there will be major improvements this time.

Fellow car enthusiasts, how much do you think this car should sell for?
