The IM LS6 has come out with a "super extended-range" system this time, with a claimed pure electric range of 450 kilometers, a combined range of 1,500 kilometers on a full tank and full charge, and a starting price of 197,900 yuan.
From these numbers, it is clear that this car is aimed squarely at hot-selling models such as the Li Auto L6 and the AITO M7.

As everyone knows, the auto industry is full of hype these days, with countless PPT-built cars and all kinds of extravagant claims. How they actually drive and how much of it is just marketing slogans are all full of unknowns...
So the question is, how much real capability does the IM LS6 actually have? And what exactly is that "electric car with a built-in supercharging pile"?

Officially, it is called the "Stellar Super Extended Range," but in plain terms it is just an extended-range system.
A pure electric range of 450 kilometers puts this figure in the top tier among extended-range vehicles. For daily commuting, as long as you can charge at home, you can basically drive it as a pure electric car, and the running costs are indeed much lower.

For those who do not have a fixed parking space and cannot install a charging pile, or for those in the north who worry about range taking a hit in winter, this solution can indeed relieve a lot of anxiety.
But! The official figure of 0.06L comprehensive fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is something you should just take a look at, because it is an ideal value calculated when you have battery power. Understand? The key is to look at fuel consumption when the battery is depleted.

Is it actually fun to drive? The new-generation "Lizard Digital Chassis" gives it something rarely seen in this class—four-wheel steering.

The benefit of this function is very direct: the turning radius can be as small as 4.49 meters. Driving such a large vehicle, making U-turns in the city and squeezing through alleys will feel unbelievably agile.

As for the advertised "tire blowout stability control" and "active rollover prevention," these are safety features for extreme situations, and having them is better than not having them.
In everyday driving, what you feel more is the quality of the chassis. The chassis tuning of this car still leans toward comfort. Over speed bumps and rough roads, it handles things fairly crisply, but to say it rivals million-yuan-class cars, personally I think that is a bit much.

Is it comfortable for family members to sit in?
In terms of space, the LS6 does a good job, after all, it is positioned as a large five-seat vehicle. The rear floor is completely flat, and three adults will not feel cramped.

The most interesting thing is the "super right row": the front passenger seat can recline into a zero-gravity position and can also fold forward, freeing up an enormous amount of legroom for the rear.
For families with elderly members, or those who need to care for children in the rear, this function will be very, very practical.

However, the IM AIOS infotainment system has many functions and also integrates WeChat, and it is fairly convenient to use.

But today's new forces all like to stuff every function into the screen. Sometimes adjusting the air conditioning requires several taps, and it is still a bit distracting while driving. Personally, I still prefer to keep a few physical buttons.
So, is this car actually worth buying?

The equipment list offered by the IM LS6 this time is quite sincere.
For a starting price of under 200,000 yuan, you can get an extended-range SUV with huge space, long pure electric range, and four-wheel steering. The value for money indeed looks high.
The IM brand, backed by SAIC and Alibaba, has a solid technical foundation. But its previous models have always received praise without matching sales.

This time, the LS6 has pushed the price down and stacked up the equipment, clearly aiming for volume and to compete with Li Auto and AITO for market share.
My advice is, if you are interested in this car and your budget fits, do not just read us car reviewers rambling online.

You must go to a 4S store, bring your whole family, and personally drive it and sit in it to know whether it suits you.
