The Geely Boyue REV opens pre-sales today, and this compact SUV starting at 127,900 yuan has pushed pure electric range all the way to 375 km. This range-extender powertrain, combined with a large battery and 3C fast charging, has effectively turned a range-extender vehicle into a pure electric experience.
And when facing同级 competitors like the BYD Song Pro or GAC Aion AION i60, the Boyue REV has played all its cards on equal access to long range and the Flyme Auto intelligent cockpit.

Honestly, as soon as Geely Boyue REV's pre-sale price of 127,900 yuan came out, my friend circle exploded. These days compact SUVs are all fiercely competitive, but the Boyue REV has directly pulled pure electric range up to 375 kilometers!
What kind of concept is that? It stuffs in a 50.4 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, directly raising it by an order of magnitude compared with the same class. Looking at plug-in hybrid and range-extender rivals at the same price on the market, most still hover around 200 kilometers of pure electric range.

This move is an open hand trying to poach customers. For a daily commute of thirty to forty kilometers, one charge is easily enough for a week. This is practically a pure electric car! Usually drive it as a pure EV, and on weekend long trips there is still a 1.5L four-cylinder range extender as backup, completely bidding farewell to range anxiety.
A big battery with slow charging would just be playing dirty!

This time Geely has equipped it with super 3C fast charging: 30% to 80% takes only 24 minutes, and the entry-level version with a 28.3 kWh battery needs only 15 minutes. Stop at a highway service area to use the restroom and smoke a cigarette, and the charge is mostly replenished.
That dedicated range extender with thermal efficiency as high as 47.26% is real hardcore engineering, with WLTC fuel consumption of only 4.95 liters when the battery is depleted. Take the whole family camping, and the external discharge power of up to 6 kilowatts means plugging in an electric hot pot and a coffee machine at the same time is no pressure at all.

The chassis comes standard with FSD variable damping suspension and the CST anti-motion sickness system. This really understands today's family users. EVs' frequent acceleration and deceleration can easily make people queasy, and with the system intervening at the base level, elderly people and children in the back seat will definitely be much more comfortable.
Open the door, and you will find that Geely is now very adept at tuning the cabin. The Flyme Auto system handled by Meizu remains in the current top tier, with extremely responsive seamless cross-device connectivity.

For the 1.5-square-meter panoramic glass roof, they honestly kept an electric physical sunshade! No more holding an umbrella inside the car in the middle of summer. This is the truly receptive attitude to build cars.
The passenger seat's power leg rest can adjust to 80 degrees, plus front-row heating and ventilation and 8-point airbag massage. When you are tired on a long drive, lie flat in the service area and press it a couple of times, and you really recover.
We should also objectively discuss its limitations. The Boyue REV takes a crossover coupe SUV route. The fastback plus ducktail is indeed sporty, but the styling is definitely divisive.

People who like it find it trendy, while more conservative folks will definitely feel it is not stable and balanced enough, and the fastback design will more or less encroach on some vertical cargo height in the trunk.
Looking at the competitive environment, the BYD Song Pro is as steady as Mount Tai, and the Aion AION i60 is also a tough player eyeing the family segment. For the Boyue REV to grab a piece of the meat in this market where giants are fighting is not easy.

When test-drive cars arrive at stores, I strongly suggest everyone focus on testing the smoothness of its 11-in-1 range-extender electric drive and take it over several rough roads to stress the FSD suspension.
There is no absolute perfection in buying a car. Figure out your real daily commuting needs, whether you crave its extremely generous pure electric range or care more about the conservative space of a traditional SUV, and after the test drive your wallet will naturally give the answer.
