On May 20, 2025, FAW Hongqi announced a limited-time fixed-price policy for the 2025 H9, with the entry-level version's price dropping to 235,800 yuan, a direct reduction of 94,000 yuan from the guided price of 329,800 yuan. The campaign will last until May 31. This is the first large-scale promotion for the model since its launch on May 7, with all seven configuration variants participating across the lineup. The official announcement also introduced a four-part purchase benefits package, including a trade-in subsidy of up to 35,000 yuan, a lighting package worth 6,800 yuan, and two-tone paint customization and other value-added services.

As an annual facelift model, the core upgrade of the 2025 H9 lies in the optimization of the powertrain. The entire lineup now features a ZF 8AT transmission, replacing the 7-speed dual-clutch unit in the previous 2.0T models, significantly improving transmission efficiency and smoothness. The 3.0T V6 version adds an intelligent four-wheel-drive system, which combines with air suspension to form a flagship configuration package. The official claims a transmission efficiency of 96% and support for multi-mode intelligent road-condition recognition. The product matrix continues the dual-appearance strategy, with the Luxury Business Edition and Private Fashion Edition differentiated through front and rear bumpers and wheel designs to meet different aesthetic needs, while the interior retains the 12.3-inch dual-screen design, with all variants standard-equipped with 253-color ambient lighting and multiple power-adjustable seat functions.

Market data show that Hongqi H9 sales have declined over the past three years, with cumulative sales of 15,497 units in 2023, dropping to 7,763 units in 2024, and only 2,281 units delivered in the first five months of 2025. This promotion may be an important measure to boost market performance, enhancing competitiveness through a combination of "limited-time direct price cuts + configuration upgrades." Notably, the official has positioned key technical upgrades such as the four-wheel-drive system on 3.0T models and the transmission on 2.0T models as core selling points, paired with the "three-lifetime, one-free-maintenance" service policy, in an attempt to build differentiated competitive advantages. From a product positioning perspective, the facelifted H9 still adheres to the "new business card for entrepreneurs' travel" strategy, but the starting price of 235,800 yuan has extended its price range into a broader market space.
