Recently, the Volkswagen Sagitar, this veteran of German engineering, has quietly updated its configuration again. This facelift occurred in mid-June, and the new car's guide price remains 139,900 to 172,900 yuan. Neither the exterior nor the interior has changed—it's still the familiar Volkswagen family design: a polygonal grille connected to the headlights, powerful crease lines on the front, a full-length waistline along the side paired with multi-spoke wheels, and a small ducktail and smoked taillights at the rear. The dimensions are unchanged too: 4,791 mm long with a 2,731 mm wheelbase, giving it relatively spacious rear seating for a compact sedan.

In terms of power, there are still two options: a 1.2T engine with a maximum output of 85 kW and 200 N·m of torque, or a 1.5T engine with a maximum output of 118 kW and 250 N·m of torque, both mated to a 7-speed dry dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain does deliver good fuel economy, but the dry dual-clutch may still be less smooth than an AT or CVT in particularly congested traffic. If you deal with severe daily traffic jams, it's worth paying extra attention to this during a test drive.

Looking at the configurations, the entry-level Feiyue version has basic practical features like a reversing camera, panoramic sunroof, and CarPlay, but the fabric seats and manual air conditioning feel somewhat plain; spending just over ten thousand more to get the Chaoyue version brings noticeably better upgrades, including L2-level driver assistance, a hands-free power tailgate, and a larger 12-inch central touchscreen. If you have requirements for safety and convenience, this version is worth a close look; the top-tier Zhuoyue version has 18-inch large wheels, adds adaptive high and low beams, and the front seats support power adjustment with optional ventilation and heating, making it suitable for users with sufficient budget and higher comfort requirements.

In terms of sales, the Sagitar has always been steady. It sold nearly 20,000 units in May this year, with cumulative sales of nearly 100,000 units from January to May, typically ranking in the top three among compact sedans. Terminal discounts for the new model are expected to be released soon. If you're not in a hurry, it's still advisable to wait a bit and watch the price trend.

Overall, this June 2025 Sagitar facelift is more of a "courtesy update" without earth-shattering changes. Its core advantage remains that balanced, reliable joint-venture family car image. If you value space, have high brand acceptance, and prefer the driving feel of a traditional gasoline car, it's still a choice worth serious consideration.
