On the evening of June 29, Leapmotor officially announced presale information for its all-new mid-size all-electric sedan, the Leapmotor B01. The new car is offered in five configuration variants, with presale prices ranging from 105,800 yuan to 135,800 yuan. Like the Leapmotor B10 (a compact SUV), the first model in the B series launched in April this year, the B01 is also developed on Leapmotor's LEAP 3.5 technology architecture.

In terms of design, the B01 continues the B10's design language. The front fascia adopts a closed-off grille paired with slim split-type headlight clusters, and its three-point light source design is consistent with the B10, with a trapezoidal cooling intake in the front bumper. The body side features a fastback profile, equipped with hidden door handles, and the window line rises toward the rear, with the B/C pillars and window frames finished in black. The new car offers eight body color choices, seven of which are shared with the B10, plus a newly added "Morgan Pink" color.

For the interior, two color schemes are offered, "Phantom Moon Purple" and "Slender Cloud Gray," and the seats are upholstered in bamboo charcoal fiber fabric. The cabin is equipped with a 14.6-inch 2.5K resolution central control screen and an 8.8-inch full LCD instrument cluster, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip and running the LeapmotorOS 4.0 PLUS system. The steering wheel features a two-spoke two-tone design with integrated multi-function buttons and scroll wheels, the gear selector is a column-mounted shifter, and no physical buttons are provided in the center console area.

In terms of power and range, the B01 is purely electric, offering two motor options with maximum power of 132 kW and 160 kW. Battery pack capacities are 56.2 kWh and 67.1 kWh respectively, corresponding to CLTC range figures of 550 km and 650 km.

Leapmotor plans to launch three B-series models within 2024. In addition to the already launched B10 and the B01 now in presale, a new car codenamed B05 will also be launched within the year. In addition, Leapmotor founder Zhu Jiangming recently revealed that the higher-end flagship D-series products are planned to enter mass production in the first quarter of 2026.
