On July 4, BYD officially launched the wagon version of the Seal 06 DM-i. The new car is offered in three configuration options, with an official guide price range of 109,800 yuan to 129,800 yuan. This wagon version continues the style of the Seal 06 DM-i in its core design language, with the main difference being the adoption of a wagon body style.

In terms of exterior, the front features a closed-off grille, and the headlights have been blackened and come with lenses and angled daytime running lights. The side profile shows the typical silhouette of a wagon, with a curved roof and roof rails, a segmented waistline design, and recessed door handles to reduce wind resistance. The rear adopts a full-width blackened taillight cluster and a small ducktail design, while the lower bumper styling is relatively three-dimensional. The body dimensions are 4,850 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,505 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,790 mm. It is positioned as a mid-size car, and the trunk volume and split-folding rear seats enhance loading flexibility.

The interior layout is consistent with the Seal 06 DM-i, equipped with a three-spoke steering wheel, a floating LCD instrument panel and central control screen, as well as an electronic column shifter. The console area features a wireless charging pad and storage space. In terms of configuration, the Seal 06 DM-i wagon version comes standard across the range with tire pressure display, reversing radar, a 360-degree panoramic camera, BYD's "God's Eye" basic driver assistance system, keyless entry, one-button start, automatic LED headlights, a panoramic sunroof, automatic wipers, power adjustment for the driver's seat, front seat ventilation/heating, split-folding rear seats, automatic air conditioning, and rear air vents. These configurations cover safety, comfort, and convenience, with a relatively high starting point.

The powertrain adopts BYD's fifth-generation DM plug-in hybrid technology, consisting of a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 78 kW and peak torque of 126 N·m, and an electric motor with a maximum power of 120 kW or 160 kW and peak torque of 210 N·m or 260 N·m, matched with an E-CVT gearbox. Two battery capacity options are available: the 10.08 kWh version offers 80 km of CLTC pure electric range, and the 18.71 kWh version offers 150 km of CLTC pure electric range. Under low battery conditions, the WLTC combined fuel consumption is 4.15 L/100 km and 4.35 L/100 km respectively. This system balances daily short-distance pure electric driving capability with low fuel consumption for long-distance travel.

Overall, the Seal 06 DM-i wagon version offers a mid-size wagon starting at 109,800 yuan, with outstanding space practicality; its standard configurations are relatively rich, especially in safety assistance and comfort; and it is equipped with a mature DM-i hybrid system, providing a certain pure electric range and low fuel consumption. For consumers who prefer wagons and value space and fuel economy, this new car is worth paying attention to.
