All-new Palisade presales at 293,800 yuan, adding a new option to the mid-to-large hybrid SUV market

At the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, Hyundai officially unveiled the all-new generation Palisade and opened pre-sales. The new model is offered in three configuration variants, with pre-sale prices ranging from 293,800 to 363,800 yuan. As a replacement model, the new-generation Palisade remains positioned as a mid-to-large SUV, featuring the brand's latest design language in both exterior and interior, and for the first time adopts a 2.5T hybrid powertrain, while also offering a 2+3+2 seven-seat layout. Compared with the currently available 2023 model in the domestic market, which is equipped with a 3.5-liter V6 naturally aspirated engine, the new-generation model has also seen notable improvements in body dimensions. The new vehicle measures 5060/1980/1805 mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2970 mm, representing an increase of 65 mm in length and 70 mm in wheelbase compared with the current model, bringing substantive improvements to interior space. In terms of exterior design, the new-generation Palisade presents a more squared-off and imposing design style. The front fascia features a large horizontal-slat grille, with LED daytime running lights integrated with the headlights to create a unified visual effect, while the rear adopts hidden rear wipers and a concealed exhaust layout, giving the overall styling a more rugged appearance. Inside, the new vehicle features a dual 12.3-inch panoramic curved screen setup, a column-mounted gear shifter, and is equipped with features including a UV-C sterilization storage box, Blue Link digital key, HUD head-up display, second-row one-touch entry, zero-gravity seats, and a BOSE audio system. In terms of intelligent driving assistance systems, the new vehicle is equipped with HDA highway driving assistance, NSACC navigation-based smart cruise control, LFA2 lane following assistance, and FCA forward collision-avoidance assistance, enhancing driving safety and convenience. The powertrain change is the core of this generational update. The new vehicle is equipped with the new-generation TMED-II hybrid system, combining a 2.5T engine with a P1+P2 dual-motor setup, delivering a combined system maximum output of 334 horsepower and peak torque of 460 N·m, matched to a 6-speed automatic transmission, and capable of reversing via the electric motor. It is reported that the new vehicle is scheduled for official launch and delivery by the end of September. Since its introduction to the domestic market in 2020, the Hyundai Palisade has been one of the few models in its segment still offering large-displacement naturally aspirated power. Its competitors include models such as the Volkswagen Teramont and Ford Explorer, and the hybrid version, once launched, will also form new competitive relationships with the Lexus RX hybrid and Toyota Prado, among others.
