From the exterior, the Leapmotor Lafa5 continues the family-style design, with a closed grille on the front face combined with a slender intermittent continuous light strip, giving it high overall recognition. The side of the body adopts a fastback shape, paired with frameless doors and hidden door handles. In terms of dimensions, the new car's length, width, and height are 4430/1880/1520 mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2735 mm. For body colors, six choices are offered, including Electric Yellow and Wind Gray.

Stepping inside, the new car's interior offers three color schemes, and a large amount of suede-like microfiber material is used for wrapping. The core of the cockpit is an 8.8-inch LCD instrument cluster and a 14.6-inch 2.5K high-definition central control screen, and its vehicle system is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip. The gear shifting method adopts a column shifter design, and a wireless charging panel and cup holders are arranged below the center console.

Configuration is the key to distinguishing model versions. The high-trim Max version is equipped with a roof-mounted LiDAR and the Qualcomm 8650 chip to support higher-level assisted driving functions; the entry-level version does not carry LiDAR. In terms of practicality, the front seats of all models can be folded back at a large angle, and the rear row is also equipped with air-conditioning vents and charging interfaces.

In terms of power, the Leapmotor Lafa5 adopts rear-wheel drive across the lineup. The maximum motor power of the entry-level model is 132 kW, while all other versions are 160 kW. Therefore, its 0-100 km/h acceleration time ranges from 6.4 seconds to 8.7 seconds depending on the configuration. The new car offers two capacities of lithium iron phosphate battery packs, corresponding to CLTC range of 515 km and 605 km respectively, and supports 800V high-voltage fast charging technology.

It is also understood that a higher-performance Ultra version is planned to be launched in 2026. In addition, the Leapmotor Lafa5 is also planned as a global model and is expected to begin sales in overseas markets next year.
