On March 17, the Buick Electra pure electric version from SAIC-GM Buick was officially launched, offering the Luxury Edition model with a guide price of 489,900 yuan. This model is a pure electric MPV developed based on Buick's Xiaoyao architecture, and it is the second powertrain form introduced in the Electra family after the plug-in hybrid version.
The Electra pure electric version measures 5260×2023×1820 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 3160 mm, placing it in the mid-to-large MPV segment. Design elements such as the closed front fascia, split headlights, and hidden door handles remain consistent with the plug-in hybrid version. The most notable exterior change is the addition of an exclusive matte gray two-tone paint finish.
In terms of interior, the Electra pure electric version's cabin can be equipped with up to 8 screens, including a 50-inch AR-HUD head-up display, a 10.25-inch instrument cluster, dual 16.3-inch central control and front passenger connected screens, a 21-inch 4K rear ceiling-mounted screen, and two 5.5-inch rear butler screens. The seats adopt a 2+2+3 layout, with heating, ventilation, and massage functions for both the front and second rows. The third-row seats support 330 mm electric slide rail adjustment, and the trunk offers 630 liters of standard capacity, expandable to a maximum of 2056 liters.
The Electra pure electric version features a 332 kW front motor and a 150 kW rear motor, delivering a combined power output of 482 kW and a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 5.1 seconds. It is equipped with a 96 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a CLTC range of 601 kilometers.
The Electra pure electric version adopts a 900-volt high-voltage platform and 6C ultra-fast charging technology, with peak charging power reaching 640 kW, enabling 400 kilometers of range to be added in 10 minutes. The infotainment system is powered by the Qualcomm 8775P chip, with the Electra OS integrating three AI voice large models: DeepSeek R1, Doubao, and ERNIE Bot. For intelligent driving, it is equipped with the Xiaoyao Zhixing system based on the Momenta R6 large model, supporting highway and urban road navigation assist functions. With the launch of the Electra pure electric version, the Buick MPV family has achieved full coverage of gasoline, plug-in hybrid, and pure electric powertrain forms.
