On April 8, the Chery Tiggo 7L was officially launched, with a total of 4 models introduced. The Tiggo 7L is positioned as a compact SUV, with length, width, and height of 4655 mm, 1880 mm, and 1690 mm respectively, and a wheelbase of 2720 mm.

In terms of exterior design, the Tiggo 7L features an Energy Storm front fascia, paired with Wave Light Flowing Shadow headlights and a Light and Shadow Floating Grille. At the rear, it uses a full-width wavy taillight connected left and right by a black decorative strip.

In the interior, the Tiggo 7L is equipped with a 15.6-inch floating central control screen that supports left-right sliding, allowing switching between the center console and the front passenger side. The entire lineup comes standard with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, with the infotainment system wake-up time within 4 seconds, supporting HiCar, CarPlay, Carlink and other all-brand phone connectivity, as well as remote vehicle control and AI large-model functions. The cabin also features a 50-watt wireless charging pad and 256-color rhythm ambient lighting. The front passenger seat offers a zero-gravity seat with a leg rest, and the front seats support heating, ventilation, and massage functions.

In terms of safety equipment, the Tiggo 7L is equipped with 7 airbags, 540-degree high-definition panoramic camera, and an L2-level driver assistance system including automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, rear collision warning, and more, among which the AEB function can achieve active braking at speeds up to 130 km/h.

In terms of power, the 1.5T engine has a maximum power of 115 kW and peak torque of 230 N·m, matched with a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission; the 1.6T engine has a maximum power of 147 kW and peak torque of 310 N·m, matched with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. The chassis adopts structures such as hydraulic bushings to filter out fine road vibrations.

Commentary: The Tiggo 7 series was previously defined by Chery officially as a "value benchmark," following a cost-effectiveness route. As a slightly larger version in this series, the Tiggo 7L has a conventional trunk capacity of 478 liters, which can be expanded to a maximum of 1417 liters. In terms of equipment, it features details such as a sliding central control screen and a queen passenger seat, while retaining the 1.6T powertrain and L2-level driver assistance system. Looking at the price range of 80,000 to 100,000 yuan, this level of equipment provides an option in the compact SUV market.
