On June 7, the 2027 Dongfeng Fengxing Xinghai V9 was officially launched, with 3 models offered. This annual facelift brings multi-faceted upgrades centered on the smart cockpit, comfort features, and driver assistance functions.
In terms of exterior, the 2027 Xinghai V9 retains the "Qingyun Ladder" front-end design, featuring a nine-tier horizontally progressive chrome grille paired with split-type headlights, and the daytime running light strip has a sequential lighting effect. At the rear, a full-width taillight is used, with styling inspired by traditional lantern elements, and a small integrated spoiler is fitted at the top end of the roof, incorporating a vertical high-mounted brake light. The new vehicle measures 5230 mm in length, 1920 mm in width, and 1820 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3018 mm, placing it in the mid-to-large plug-in hybrid MPV segment.
In terms of interior, the 2027 Xinghai V9 adopts a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, paired with a dual 15.6-inch screen layout for the central control and front passenger entertainment. It supports UI operation, voice recognition, online music, video, KTV, games, and other functions, and supports three-finger screen swiping to switch video content between the central control screen and the front passenger screen. The second-row aviation seats are equipped with leg rests, small tables, and integrated armrest control panels; the cabin also features a 5-liter onboard heating and cooling refrigerator, full-zone分区 air conditioning, and a panoramic sunroof measuring approximately 1.5 m × 0.87 m.
The trunk capacity is 593 liters, and the third-row seats support 4/6 split folding and sinking, expandable to a maximum of 2792 liters. When the front seat backs are folded down, they can be level with the second-row seat cushions, and through multi-angle adjustment, various seating positions such as lying flat and reclining can be achieved. By moving the second-row seats forward and folding down the seat backs, they can form a flat connection with the third row, transforming into a sofa bed.
The 2027 Xinghai V9 is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip and integrates two AI large models, ERNIE Bot and DeepSeek, supporting intelligent Q&A, trip planning, and other functions. In terms of driver assistance, it adds automatic parking, remote-controlled parking, 50-meter reverse tracking, as well as Sentry Mode, Door Open Warning, and a transparent chassis.
The 2027 Xinghai V9 continues the 1.5T plug-in hybrid powertrain, equipped with a 34.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, offering a CLTC pure electric range of 200 kilometers and a combined range of 1300 kilometers.
Xiao Tang's view: This facelift mainly carries out more than twenty upgrades in the three directions of intelligence, comfort, and safety, while the exterior and chassis basically continue from the current model. Cockpit intelligence is where this change is most concentrated, and quite a few comfort features have also been added. Targeting the difficulty of parking MPVs, automatic parking, remote-controlled parking, and 50-meter reverse tracking have been added, and active safety has also been strengthened.
