On February 22, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version was officially launched, with a total of three models: the Advanced Edition at 44,800 yuan, the Premium Edition at 49,800 yuan, and the Premium+ Edition at 50,800 yuan. In sync with the launch prices, Wuling officials also provided a "Fourfold Pampering Gift" worth up to 10,000 yuan, including a trade-in subsidy of up to 3,000 yuan, 3,000 yuan worth of Longmo solar film, a 3.5 kW charging pile, and lifetime warranty for the three electric systems for the first non-operating owner.

If the discounts are included, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version is actually priced like a "big toy," affordable for the vast majority of people, and its usage cost is also extremely low.




More than just "two extra doors"



From the boxy previous Hongguang MINIEV to today's rounded Hongguang MINIEV four-door version, under the premise of a major exterior overhaul, its temperament has also been greatly enhanced. Designed with "sweet fun aesthetics," the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version is equipped with LED position lamps, plus an extended front engine compartment with arc-shaped design, making the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version look much more refined and secure.

Although the previous Hongguang MINIEV was also a four-seat version, the newly launched four-door version is not just two doors more. The previous model had a wheelbase of 2,010 mm and overall dimensions of 3,064×1,493×1,629 mm. Apart from being slightly taller, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version's wheelbase has been extended to 2,190 mm, and its body dimensions have "expanded" to 3,256×1,510×1,578 mm, much larger than the previous model. Plus the two extra doors — from usable space to ease of getting in and out, there has been a qualitative leap.


At the time of launch, Wuling Motors officially stated that since pre-orders opened in mid-December, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version had already sold 20,000 units by launch, becoming a new-generation "hit" in the A00-class new energy commuter car market.

Matching the exterior's "growth" and greater "sweet fun," the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version's interior adopts a "cute and romantic" design, with all models standardly equipped with houndstooth-pattern fabric seats and a vitality cat-paw-design passenger instrument panel, paired with a 7-inch LCD combination instrument and rotary electronic gear shift, making the cabin more warm and cozy.

At the same time, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version's loading capacity has also greatly improved, with the trunk volume expanded to 123 liters, and when the rear seats are folded down, the expanded volume reaches 745 liters. In addition, the whole vehicle is equipped with 19 storage spaces, greatly enhancing the new car's practicality.




Divine Refining Battery paired with high-rigidity body



The Hongguang MINIEV four-door version adopts a ring-shaped cage body with high-strength steel accounting for 67%, and is equipped with driver and passenger airbags as well as a class-leading ESC electronic body stability system. Speaking of which, some may have already noticed that among the three new Hongguang MINIEV four-door version models, the price gap is not large, but the difference between the Advanced Edition and the mid-trim Premium Edition reaches 5,000 yuan, while the difference between the Premium Edition and the top-trim Premium+ Edition is only 1,000 yuan.

Looking through the detailed configuration list of the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version, you will find that compared with the Premium Edition, the Advanced Edition lacks systems such as hill start assist, while the difference between the Premium Edition and the Premium+ Edition is only the headlights and two-tone roof. Therefore, from the perspective of choosing a car, among the three new models, the best value is the mid-trim Premium Edition.


The Hongguang MINIEV four-door version, with the Divine Refining Battery standard across all models, also has a range of 205 km, and is equipped with a new 30 kW three-in-one electric drive. While power is enhanced, electricity consumption per 100 km has been reduced to 8.9 kWh. The new car offers three charging methods: DC fast charging, AC slow charging, and household power portable charging. The standard DC fast charging can replenish from 30% to 80% in 35 minutes.

As for the safety of the Divine Refining Battery, judging from the record of 1.5 million Hongguang MINIEVs sold with zero spontaneous combustion, there is completely no need to worry.


Although the body size has increased, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version is still easy to drive. Equipped with front MacPherson and rear three-link suspension, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version's dynamic comfort has greatly improved, with power stronger than the previous model, and the rear wheel brakes upgraded from the previous drum brakes to disc brakes. At the same time, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version is equipped with an electric power steering system, with a 4.5-meter turning radius, plus 13-inch 155-width tires one size larger than the previous model. "Good-looking and easy to drive" remains a typical feature of the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version.



Rich comfort configurations



Although the price is only equivalent to a high-end camera, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version's configuration level has been greatly upgraded. The new car is equipped with a keyless start/entry system and adds remote vehicle control functions: the vehicle can be remotely started via a mobile phone APP, and the air conditioning, doors, remote car finding, scheduled air conditioning, and scheduled charging can be controlled.


In addition, the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version adds vehicle sensing devices, including cameras and ultrasonic radar, bringing car owners more intuitive and reliable driving assistance functions. It also adds AutoHold automatic parking, electronic parking brake, an 8-inch floating central control screen, and other equipment. For women, the driver's sun visor is equipped with a makeup mirror, and the interior has also been upgraded to brighter LED lighting.

The overall upgrade of the Hongguang MINIEV four-door version is more and better than everyone expected. It is easy to buy and richly equipped, not only further expanding the radius of "commuting," but also easily handling more scenarios such as weekend outings.
